Crystal Dart demonstration

The Crystal Dart is a type of Hardmode dart used with the Blowgun, Blowpipe, Dart Pistol, and the Dart Rifle. They move in a straight line and are unaffected by gravity when shot, ricocheting, or piercing six times before disappearing. The darts will also bounce off tiles and automatically target enemies if they are close enough.

Notes

The Crystal Dart is unaffected by lighting, and always has the same brightness. While it indicates cave walls after bouncing off, it will not emit any light itself.
The ricocheting effect is not randomized. If the Crystal Dart hits an enemy, with other enemies in the vicinity of that one, it will bounce between any enemies there are.

Tips

Crystal Darts are particularly effective in confined spaces, due to lots of ricochets. They are furthermore effective against enemies with multiple parts, like Skeletron Prime, bosses with many minions, like Queen Slime, and enemies with multiple segments, like worms.
Using Crystal Darts with a Dart Rifle can be very effective against large amounts of enemies in a concentrated area, because it bounces between all of them and deals massive damage.
