Shadow Jousting Lance

Its mentioned on the Shadow Jousting Lance page that with the right setup, it could one-shot a Dungeon Guardian. Shouldn't this be mentioned on the page? Thanks! WillowTehKitsune (talk) 16:48, 25 April 2021 (UTC)

Slime Mount method no longer working in 1.3.0.4?

I may be just doing it wrong but I can't get the Slime Mount method working in the most recent patch. Can someone else try it to confirm? --DataNalle (talk) 21:33, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

Can confirm. Doesn't matter if you are hitting space or the dungeon ceiling, it will pass though the slime, resulting in death. 24.193.197.84 16:04, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
When I was able to get it working I wasn't pressing anything you just needed to wedge yourself against the sky and afk with invulnerability frames, it passing through the slime was normal. --Renarii (talk) 16:18, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
I went and did a bit of testing and was dying immediately at the skybox, here's some info when I was able to get it working that may help. This was done via playing with steam on multiplayer, I was able to do it as host but others were also able to do it. Once hitting the skybox you would sometimes die immediately but if you got wedged against the sky and the boss you could trigger infinite invulnerability frames. Unfortunately it wasn't working for me when I tried it again, however this was in single player, it's possible it got patched. --Renarii (talk)

Daybreak

I've tested it, and the Dungeon Guardian appears to be immune to the Daybreak debuff. UnimpressiveVernacular (talk) 22:01, 17 July 2019 (UTC)

Pre-Hardmode

Killing a Dungeon Guardian is:
A- A massive pain to do without Hardmode's gear and mobility.
B- Not something you were meant to do or that does anything to game's progression, just a little extra for those that want to do something in endgame.
People that never want to world cross with a character and also want a Bone Key for their run are part of a very rare minority, so there isn't much of a point on making a guide for that, as most people will (and should) do it with a Hardmode character and proper gear. Use the hoik method if you want, it'll take a while and a few attempts but once you're in the loop around it you can just throw a boomerang and afk--120.152.152.210 07:54, 12 July 2020 (UTC)

Minecart method

I'm almost certain that the mechanical cart is not necessary to outrun the guardian, a regular mine cart's(crafted with iron and wood) top speed is 66 MPH, significantly faster than the dungeon guardian's speed--120.152.152.210 07:50, 12 July 2020 (UTC)

Bow choices

Consider removing The Black Spot from the mounts section

I've added a not on the fact that the Dungeon Guardian outspeeds the mount horozontally and matches its speed vertically. I think it should be removed, but I'll leave it to someone else to make the call on that. Steele (talk) 05:58, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
