"The matriarch of the jungle hives..."
- On the Phiên bản Desktop, Phiên bản Console và Phiên bản Mobile, Queen Bee does not despawn when she is far away from the player.
- In Expert Mode, Queen Bee's charges increase both in speed and number.
- At low health, Queen Bee can do up to six charges in a row before changing her attack.
- The Larva can be broken by any damaging weapon, similar to a Pot, so many actions such as the Orichalcum armor's set bonus or a Star Cloak can break the Larva, causing Queen Bee to be unintentionally spawned.
- This is especially common if there are remaining larva within the Jungle late into the game, when it is possible to hit things anywhere on the screen, even behind solid blocks. It is also possible early in the game if using a whip, which can break things behind solid blocks.
- Once Queen Bee is defeated, the Witch Doctor NPC will spawn if there is a vacant house.
- Bees do NOT drop Souls of Light, Souls of Night, Biome Keys(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions), or Biome Key Molds(Old-gen console and 3DS versions).
- In Multiplayer, Queen Bee appears not to despawn upon the death of players, and will follow them all the way back to the spawn.
- Occasionally, a Bee Hive will be large enough to possess 2 Larvae. If a player is using a bouncing weapon such as the Water Bolt, they need to be wary of the second Larva, lest they be targeted by the newly summoned, second Queen Bee.
- The amount of bees Queen Bee can summon is not infinite, 173 bees is the max amount of bees that can be active at once.
Achievement
Sting Operation • “Defeat the Queen Bee, the matriarch of the jungle hives.”
Đánh bại Queen Bee lần đầu tiên. (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions)
Category: Slayer
Tips
Để biết thêm nhiều chiến thuật đánh Queen Bee hơn, bao gồm gợi ý về vũ khí và arena, xem Guide:Queen Bee strategies/vi.
- The Honey naturally found in Bee Hives can be used to craft Bottled Honey or provide passive health regeneration mid-fight. However, standing in Honey will slow down the player.
- The Bees do little damage, but can easily become an annoyance as they can push the player around. If the player does not have a Cobalt Shield or Obsidian Shield to avoid knockback, any grappling hook can be used to anchor the player to blocks.
- On the Phiên bản Desktop, Phiên bản Console và Phiên bản Mobile, in Classic difficulty, a spinning Flail is sufficient to kill any incoming Bees before they can reach the player.
- On the Phiên bản Desktop, Phiên bản Console và Phiên bản Mobile, Bees will target other enemies if they are closer than the player and can thus be distracted with statue spawned mobs or other trapped monsters.
- In Expert and Master Mode, Bees are much tougher and can easily kill the player if ignored.
- Queen Bee can be a viable source of money, dropping 5 GC upon death and being comparably simple to summon.
- On the Phiên bản Desktop, Phiên bản Console và Phiên bản Mobile, Queen Bee is part of the same enemy group as the Bees spawned from Beehives and mining Hive blocks, and will damage and take damage from most other enemies.
- Queen bee will only actively target players, however.
- (Old-gen console version) Queen Bee should be farmed by summoner class players to craft a set of Bee armor, which is the only pre-Hardmode summoner armor set.
- (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) The Obsidian armor is a better choice for summoners looking to focus on whips.
Trivia
- Queen Bee has the largest number of drops of any pre-Hardmode boss in the game at 15. Furthermore, she has the second-most drops of any boss, surpassed only by Plantera (a boss that is also spawned in the Underground Jungle), who has 16.
- (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) Strangely, although being able to inflict the Poisoned debuff, Queen Bee is not immune to it.
- Although rare, it is possible to obtain the Yelets(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) from Queen Bee if she is defeated after one of the Mechanical Bosses has been killed.
- The 1.2 concept art of Queen Bee looked vastly different than the actual sprite that was implemented, and more resembled a Hornet compared to the final sprite.
- Queen Bee is the only boss that cannot be fought an infinite number of times per world, due to her summons being non-renewable. There is a limited number of both larvae to directly summon the boss and Hive blocks to craft the Abeemination.
- This does not apply in Journey Mode(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions), as Hive Blocks can be infinitely duplicated once 100 of them are mined and researched, and on average a Beehive can provide more than enough to meet this requirement.
- Queen Bee is one of the 6 bosses with exclusive music, the others being Queen Slime, Empress of Light, Moon Lord, Plantera, and Duke Fishron. However, the Old-gen console và -exclusive boss Ocram reuses her music. On older updates of the Phiên bản Mobile, as well as on the Phiên bản Console Hệ máy cũ, the Eye of Cthulhu also reuses her music.
- Entry của Bestiary cho Queen Bee: "This highly aggressive monstrosity responds violently when her larva is disturbed; the honey-laden hives are her home turf."
