The Release Doves are a consumable item sold by the Party Girl for 1 SC when in a Graveyard. Using the item releases three Doves, which fly around and disappear after 5 seconds.

Notes

• Although they look and act like critters, the released Doves are projectiles. Therefore, they do not count towards the Bestiary and can neither be caught nor hurt.
  • For the same reason, the Doves use a different type of AI from the Bird AI. This is most clearly shown if one releases both some Birds and the Doves in a closed room.

Trivia

• Doves are a prominent Judeo-Christian symbol associated with funerals, remembrance, and rebirth. They are featured prominently in the Genesis flood narrative, in which doves are sent out from Noah's Ark to survey the aftermath of the flood.
• Releasing doves is a trick sometimes performed by magicians at parties, which is likely referenced by the item being sold by the Party Girl.
