Is it even possible to obtain theses yet?69.204.39.198 06:45, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Server on which I play got cobalt for every player, and so are whips, but no such seeds. Maybe they're only in code, like obsidian brick walls? --Barhandar 07:39, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
I've spent upwards of 12 hours in the underground jungle, farming cobalt for me and all of my buds. Neither my friends nor I have ever seen this item. I can also say that I've never seen this item drop once across over eight skeletron kills. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Thanatos (talk).

Really?

This method is sometimes questioned due to the vines that can hang down and prevent some items spawning, however in Underground Jungle biomes, grass and roses seem to grow faster than vines so this should result in better yields in a smaller space than a simple 3 block high tunnel farm.

Raise the area where you walk in one block and put stone (or any block but mud) right below the mud above you = no vines. 187.64.11.1 05:21, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

Depth

How deep do you have to be to create an artificial Underground Jungle that actually spawns the Underground Jungle stuff like Jungle Roses? Do you have to be at the same depths as the natural Underground Jungle, or does any depth below, say, +0ft work? - Spinfx 13:58, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

Jungle Roses will only grow at the rock layer and lower( aka the caverns ) --GauHelldragon 14:44, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

Had a UJ grow at 156ft large world, so the depth in the wiki isnt accurate. And yes, it spawns roses and i got seeds there aswell.

Artificial biome requirements

I'm having trouble finding info on how many blocks you need to create an artificial biome, i've been looking forever. does it matter how many blocks you have if you are just farming spores?

if you can hear music, it is enough. my tests it counts the grass covering and not the actual size of room. like 50 tiles of jungle gives jungle music and plant growth, however there is requirements for certain things like needs to be in stone layer to grow spores and roses but any depth (even above ground) for moonglow. 164.106.166.49 18:57, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
does it have to be big enough for me to be off screen while the music is playing in order for spores to spawn? or will they just apawn as long as it's considered a biome and i'm off screen, even though i'm not technically in that biome?
please sign with 4 ~'s. anyways you can just watch and things will grow. jungle trees (or even normal trees for that matter or monsters) have to be slightly more than offscreen (for any window size 1920x1080 or smaller) to spawn. jungle trees take longer than normal trees to grow/spawn. 98.132.150.124 01:44, 18 January 2012 (UTC)
