Legend of Zelda reference

Just so everyone knows, the megaphone is a reference to Navi from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Publish it in it's page please!72.219.211.59 00:53, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

I fail to see the grounds for that connection at all, unless you want to make the case that a character saying "hey listen" means that they're irrevocably attached to all objects that make sound for all of eternity. Megaphones are real things that amplify sound, and the idea of using one to overcome the inability to produce audible sound is a perfectly reasonable conclusion to reach without pulling from another source. If anything, associating silence with the inability to cast spells links the status effect and its associated items with its generations of use as a standard ailment, but to point that out would be like pointing out that being On Fire! causes the player damage because being on fire hurts in reality.
Ultimately the fact is that most of the anti-debuff accessories are just dropped by the enemies that cause those debuffs anyway, so there's no point to assigning unfounded associations with outside sources. Even if there were such a point, Navi's hardly the first fairy to be annoying. Gearzein (talk) 01:17, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

Megaphone not dropping from blood mummy in 1.4 desktop

I killed about 1k blood mummies in a passive farm. Got a dozen blindfolds and zero megaphones. I don't think it drops from blood mummies. I suspect if that's true, it doesn't drop from corrupt mummies, either.

I don't know if there's a positive way to confirm this, so I'm hoping someone with more knowledge can decide to edit the page or not.

I can confirm from the Desktop version Desktop 1.4.2.3 source code that the Megaphone does have a 1/100 chance to be dropped by a Blood Mummy. You may have had bad luck – the chance not to get a Megaphone from 1000 Blood Mummies is about 0.00432%. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 10:38, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
