No damage when used with melee weapons

So i notice when i try to attack enemies while they're being attacked by this thing (with melee weapons) they dont get damaged by it. A mechanic or a glitch? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mlgshanker (talk • contribs) at 09:45, 15 August 2015 (UTC)

Beam length is wrong

The article says that if fired "vertically down", the beam lasts 750 blocks. It also says that if fired "at a perfect 90 degree angle down" it goes until it hits a wall or the end of the map. Since these two pieces of information obviously contradict one another, I decided to test it myself, and found that the beam actually travels 1500 blocks when fired downward. This was done on a Large size world. I tested it on a Medium size world and found it traveled a similar amount (at least 1315 blocks, though my tunnel wasn't long enough to see the full length of the beam). In my Small world, it traveled at least 783 blocks, but again I didn't see its full length. In my Medium and Small worlds it traveled a shorter distance because my hellevator was shorter, since the world was smaller, but in my Large world I was actually able to see the point at which the beam abruptly ended, without colliding with anything.

I'm concluding from this that the maximum beam length when fired downward is actually 1500 blocks. This was in desktop version 1.3.5.3. 128.84.126.31 04:06, 11 October 2019 (UTC)

I tested it, too (Desktop 1.3.5.3 as well), and came to a similar conclusion: The beam's maximum length is 1491 blocks. I tested it in maps of all three sizes and it was exactly 1491 blocks in large and medium worlds. Small worlds are only 1200 blocks in height, so it is not possible to see the end of the rainbow there.
I have added this to the page and removed the contradictory information; thanks for bringing it up! --Rye Greenwood (talk) 09:46, 11 October 2019 (UTC)

Page issue

Something is wrong with the page regarding LUA, but I have no knowledge of what it could be. Anyone have any ideas? GrandMoffVixen (talk) 21:27, 3 February 2020 (UTC)

That was a very strange error and I have no idea where it came from either. Null-editing the page (going into edit mode and pressing the save button without changing anything) fixed it, however. If you encounter issues like these in the future, feel free to null-edit the page first and see if the error persists. Anyway, thanks for reporting! --Rye Greenwood (talk) 22:18, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
