Sunflowers are large plants which can be found growing naturally on grass, and can be broken with a pickaxe or drill, or by coming into contact with water. They cannot be grown from seeds like most other plants, but are instead placed fully-grown, either naturally upon world generation or by the player. They can also be purchased from the Dryad for 50 each, while a Blood Moon is not occurring.
Sunflowers provide the following functions:
- The two tiles directly underneath them cannot become Corrupted, Crimsoned, or Hallowed, even in Hardmode. In some cases, this can prevent Corrupted and Crimson grass from spreading sideways. On Computador, Console e Celular, they also block other conversions in a small area around them. See Biome spread for details.
- Each Sunflower decreases an area's evil biome tile count by 80 tiles.[1] Furthermore, when determing whether NPCs will reject a housing, each Sunflower in the area decreases the evil score by 40 points.[2] If placed in large quantities, they can allow NPCs to live near evil biomes. For the exact size of each area, see Biomes § Biome existence requirements and House respectively.
- (Versões para Computador, Console e Celular) They provide the Happy! buff to players within a área retangular de 170×125[3] peças centered on the Sunflower, which grants a +10% movement speed bonus and 17% reduction in enemy spawn rate.
- (Versões para Computador, Console e Celular) Sunflowers help to prevent Graveyard biomes from forming by canceling out one Tombstone each.
Sunflowers can only be placed on regular, Hallowed, (Versões para Computador, Console e Celular) Jungle, or (Versões para Computador, Console e Celular) Ash grass, at any height. They cannot be placed on Corrupt grass, Crimson grass, bare Dirt Blocks, nor in Clay Pots or Planter Boxes.
Notas
- The Sunflower's Happy! buff stacks with the effect of the Vela da Paz(Versões para Computador, Console e Celular), as well as the movement speed buff of Asphalt Blocks.
- This does not affect top running speed when equipped with Movement Accessories such as the Hermes Boots or their upgrades.
- The buff reduces critter spawns, so if the player would like to collect bait, it is wise to remove any nearby Sunflowers.
- (Versões para Computador, Console e Celular) Sunflowers glow in the dark, though they will not light up the surrounding area, only its flower.
- (Versões para Computador, Console e Celular) When placed in a Graveyard biome, Sunflowers do not grant nearby players the Happy! buff.
- Sunflowers have a very low chance of spawning more Sunflowers in a small area.Verificar
Curiosidades
- In the release trailer for 1.3, a variant of sunflower was shown with a golden interior as opposed to the regular sunflower (some are seen in the beginning of the trailer). It never ended up in the final update and its effects are unknown.
- Sunflowers' ability to resist Corruption and Crimson may be a reference to their real-world reputation for cleaning up nuclear radiation.[4]
- A sunflower is used as the loading icon on the Computador, Console, Celular e Switch versions.
