I've been thinking of creating animations for all Terraria weapons for quite some time, and this is my first subject. The pros of this is that the users can view the weapons' animations on the wiki itself, and if we make sure all animations are of high-quality and are loopable, I am sure it'll be a great addition to the wiki. If you worry about loading times, I checked firebug and this animation, which is of normal size, only took 114ms on the page, which is the same as normal images. I'm going to create some more samples, and feel free to (dis)agree here. Thanks, Mark (Talk) 16:14, 4 September 2011 (UTC)

Brilliant work with the GIFs, they look fantastic! I do have some very minor nitpicks, though:
  • Some of the GIFs are recorded during the dusk/dawn, where the background sky changes colour gradually. This is quite evident in some of the animations.
  • There should be some "placeholder" blocks on top the player in the Hermes Boots animation to show the gradual speed boost.
  • The 20 leaves the screen on the Fallen Star animation.
Having said that though, they really do help enhance the wiki pages, especially for newer players. Keep it up! [[iLiaWneK|talk|contributions]] 19:27, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
Noted! I agree with the dusk/dawn, though with the Magic Missile I thought this wasn't a problem as it clearly shows that it can be used to "scout" a dark area ahead of you. I'll re-do the Fallen Star/Hermes/Dusk and Dawn GIFs (shouldn't take too long). Thanks for the feedback! Mark (Talk) 19:44, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
About the Hermes Boots: Should I just add an extra layer of wooden blocks above the player? Mark (Talk) 20:22, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
How about adding a block every 10 squares? --NullTalk 20:59, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
