Talk:Battle Potion

the battle potion has almost the same effects as the blood moon or water candle we all know, we also know battle potions increase the spawn rate and max by a heaping %50, im eager to try out the battle potion and prove this theory, but iwould do it at night time and not be near any corruption zones (except for the one near my spawn *due to the fact i thought ebonstone was uncorrupted when you "harvested" it* and see if it really will start up the horde on me, i was wondering, if theres a battle potion (which acts like a blood moon but the sales people will keep things the same) will there be potions to increase the chance of a blood moon for a few seconds? the battle potion is a great way for very high-tier players (as with armor) to farm cash and get platinum easy (if possiable) the tactic is constantly charging enemies and then hitting them with a green phase blade or higher until the enemy hordes die, battle potions should NOT be suggested to those without nightmare armor, meteorite, or higher nless you place walls through the entire server to ventilate / control the spawn rate.

  • this is helpful advice and questions to better everyones odds and furthermore this page has been non-existant until i made it by editing* (DLAJT24)

but heres an "expiriment for anyone who has what it takes for a high quality video of Terraria (for youtube) whatif you placed a safe area, and placed all the water candles even humanly possiable to fit on one screen, waited until a buffed by water candles blood moon occured and then wailed at endless hordes of enemies between normal zones and the corruption? and how much cash would you get? i must see the outcome. *just an idea of a hectic war zone feild i had when reading 3 wiki posts* also hoped this helped and hope my curriosity / info. didnt take your ear/eyes off (DLAJT24 21:01, 29 June 2011 (UTC))

The problem with this is that the Water Candle has no effect when placed outside of being a light source. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Turbo (talk • contribs) at 17:40, 1 October 2011 (UTC).

Stacking?

If more than one player has the "Battle" buff, will it stack, providing a larger increase to the spawn rate than just one potion, or does it only count once, no matter how many players actually have the buff? --108.20.189.249 00:45, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

  • Each player spawns their OWN monsters, causing spawn rates to be drastically increased even without the battle potion. I am not sure if the spawn limit doubles too, or if it stays the same, but my guess is that it stays the same. Regardless, the battle potion effect does stack with multiple players, and the water candle buff too. Bantya (talk) 01:58, 13 September 2014 (UTC)
