Potential name references

"Omicron" could be a reference to Omicron Theta, the planet where Data from Star Trek was found. While Data is an android, this is still possibly an homage or reference to him. Milcheax (talk) 18:00, 4 October 2013 (UTC)

I could buy that, except that he has a whole lot of other Greek letters as possible names too. Sorry, but it's pretty much 99.99999999% likely that's just a coincidence. Knight9910 (talk) 21:18, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
What about Omicron Persei 8 from Futurama? On another note, the selling table needs adjusting and I'm too lazy to do it. The rocket II is during the night and eclipse and the rocket III is during the blood moon. And the prices for them should be switched. Anonymous123456789101112 (talk)

Greek letters aren't valid references to other media

- The names Nu, Mu and Lambda are references from the game series "Blazblue"
- The name "Phi" may be a reference to Sonic, where Sonic finds a robot named Phi. \

I doubt that a single Greek letter is a reference to something when the robot can have a variety of Greek-letter-names... 108.83.184.109 (talk)

Potential Star Trek reference

I added a bit of info to the trivia page, that states "niner-7" could be a reference to "seven of nine" from Star Trek. That's an acceptable addition to the article, right? I don't edit that much, but I would assume it is. Pasta power (talk) 22:33, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

Missing shop items if cheated into a pre-hardmode world?

I used a mod to spawn the Cyborg in a pre-hardmode world, and I noticed that he wasn't selling the Proximity Mine Launcher or Nanites, only Rockets. Any way I could confirm this? Sodapone (talk) 19:33, 22 February 2014 (UTC)

Some disambiguation might be needed

This quote from the guide: "Machines aren't so bad. Maybe we can build one of our own, if we can just get some explosive weaponry from the jungle..." could be taken to mean 2 different things: 1.) His spawn condition involves having some form of explosive launcher on hand rather than just the act of defeating plantera in general (which grants access to explosive launchers, and plantera drops the grenade launcher as the first item as well), or 2.) It does specifically mean just defeating plantera and an explosive launcher is not needed (can be tested by storing away the grenade launcher and rockets immediately after defeating plantera) If it's the former, then the page would need to be updated to include that info, and if it's the latter, just a simple additional note saying that explosive launchers are not needed for him to spawn.
