Small and Big Eater Stats

I've updated the stats for the Big and Small eaters based on what it looks like they should be in the code for 1.0.6. I've not got access to the game at the moment so if somebody could test them I'd be grateful. Cheers. Olrad 13:39, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

Talk about the new EoS

here you can Talk about the new EoS engine for flight, and the new "breeds" of them (DLAJT) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:DLAJT24 (talk).

EoS engine for me

personally i saw nothing wrong with the first flight engine in the early versions of the game, in fact it gave me quite a luagh (like making the EoS spaz out) but the new flight engines, when i first saw them, scared me, even the new enemies which completeley ruined my farm for rotten chunk experience, but im still getting used to the new engines, it seeems like the new engines make the EoS defy gravity whenever they hit a block, its not really threatening at some points (mainly because they can trap their selves or end up going away from you, rather than charging straight forward and going all out) but i have to wonder to blue and red: why the engine change? is it to make the game more forgiving & relaxing? if so, thanks. to otherposters you can edit this for review and comment and if you get an answer from blue or red, can you please tell me? thanks (DLAJT) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:DLAJT24 (talk).

I think that the eaters spawn extremely to fast. After spending 1 minute in the corruption, i have 15 different eaters chasing me. They need to lower the spawn rate. --Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.184.248.5 (talk).

just getting them behind a block lowers their threat to zero, they used to charge you directly which was more threatening and more startling, and would keep hugging the block until you jumped over it, etc., in my opinion i think the EoS spawn is kind of cool, and im saying to new players that the engine is EXTREMLEY less threatening than back before 1.0.5, and if deep corruption comes, the engine will be so simple to dodge it that it will be REDICIOLOUSLY EASY to kill an eos with even a musket, even a corruptor could go down so very simply from a musket loaded with silver bullets. and at first, i thought i changed the gravity on my server somehow due to the EoS'es now EXTREMLEY WEIRD flying engine.

-couldn't agree more.

EoS in water

I'm pretty sure they dive right in without any unusual hesitation. I'll check it out when I get home, unless someone beats me to it. Even so, 1.0.6 was not the patch in which this change took place, unless I'm mistaken. AI changes to the EoS were done in 1.0.5, according to the Version history page. -- Rhombus (TC) 22:28, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Nevermind. They apparently poke their faces into the water before discovering that their aberrant, lighter-than-air bodies do indeed float. -- 23:44, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

The Wikipedia's got It all wrong,

My eaters never attack in swarms, are easy to defeat (both unlike what the wiki said), spawn only when I don't care for them, but I guess that's just karma, No players should EVER be afraid of these coming-from-a-horror-game ballerinas, unless you JUST started and only have a copper sword. If you agree with me tell me and edit this page.
