I don't think it's a good idea to hunt for Nazar from Cursed Skulls in hardmode. My friend and I have already spent two days trying and we haven't found anything. I agree with you. Trying to farm them in hardmode is difficult as they tend to spawn less frequently than the hoards of other skeletal hardmode mobs and large cursed skulls, whom also are a rare sight. I surmised the same as you, but found that the dungeon I first generated ended up with hardly any Cursed Skull spawns, but instead hoards of angry bones and a tally of mages. Not sure if their spawn has been changed somehow or I'm just being unlucky. Cont. I decided that Cursed Skulls spawns being unique to dungeons upon creation was bogus and instead focused on when I met them frequently. I concluded that they were common in tight corridors and dead-end tunnels and such. So I decided to find a dead-end room at the bottom of the dungeon, they spawned way more frequently than when in an open more central room. So while I can't say for sure if their spawn is different from other mobs, they access you easier and are notably more frequent if you do this. Take it with a grain of salt though. I'll also say that I used full Tiki gear, with the pendant and beetle to enhance them and they pretty much did the killing for me while I held a blue candle to increase spawn rates. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.48.82.96 at 04:59, 8 October 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, I recommend everyone go to pre-hardmode dungeon if you're trying to get this from Cursed Skulls. Just go as far down as you can in the dungeon and hold a blue candle, Cursed Skulls should start spawning a lot. Already got Nazar in just a few minutes, rather than the TWO DAYS my friend spent in hardmode dungeon trying to get it to no avail. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.6.5.198 at 18:49, 8 October 2013 (UTC)

Trivia about Cursed Hammers in Dungeon

I play on my Wii U and on PC and on the Wii U I have never seen any cursed skulls or rusty armored bones in hardmode. But on the PC the opposite happened to me. My dungeon had so many cursed skulls and giant cursed skulls I kept on dying.
