when i first viewed star statue i thught it was about falling star farming. ._. i mean this can stil be abused for bosses.... i guess, but what bennefits are there? it doesnt seem useful against things like wall of flesh. and how do we know its not bugged to turn into an angel statue when placed like all the others?

The star statue can be useful for blood moons and invasion events by allowing magic users to constantly replenish their mana from a central point in a town. 74.95.168.49 17:37, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

I wish to contest the supposed uselessness of the statue. While any statues are not constantly usable against the wall like in other situations, if you rig one of these star statues up on the path you take for the wall you can get as much as 400-500 mana from it, especially if you can run back to it and stand there for a moment before the wall catches back up to you and pushes you off of it. Also, now that there are much harder bosses around, the use of these star statues gives a magic user the ability to KEEP using magic if they're willing to fight in an arena as opposed to the sky like I've seen some guides for.
