Connection to One Piece

well. ordinary summer hats rarley if ever have a red ribbon. its usually brown or floral. its most likley a reference to one piece seeing as most of the other clothing is a reference to something. 2.101.96.26 16:27, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

There is no evidence of it being a reference. Searching "Straw Hat" on google yielded many hats with the same look as the one in game. Until there is any supporting evidence, it shouldn't be included. --99.242.124.8 02:26, 22 August 2011 (UTC)

Unless there's a certain amount of evidence, unclear references shouldn't be included IMO. Take Mithril or the Hero's Clothes -- here, the references to Middle Earth and Legend of Zelda lore are pretty obvious. A straw hat could be a reference to any fictional character who also wears a straw hat, or it could not be. Unless one of the developers comments or the Summer Hat gets some lore text to support this theory, this possible connection isn't really noteworthy. Oh, and don't remove contributions from talk pages just because you disagree with them. --Lunboks 16:06, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
