I believe that the best strategy for duke fishron is to use spectre hooded armor and a fast minimal mana consuming weapon; like razorpine or laser machinegun. bring about 3 stacks of greater mana potions and have at least 300 mana. this is because the razorpine has a base consumption of 4, it is then reduced to 2 if you have a mana flower and a nature's gift, and (if in 1.4) mana cloaak, arcane flower, (if not in 1.4) use celestial emblem for increased damage and mana regen if taken damage from. use the warding prefix on all your gear to decrease damage as much as possible, feel free to add on others, if I've made a few errors.
