As far as I know thrown knives are not commonly associated with vampires. Meanwhile in Touhou series, which is quite popular, there is a character, namely Sakuya Izayoi who is a servant of a vampire and throws hundreds of knives, just like this weapon does. She is also basically inspired by Dio from JJBA. I'm not a guy who'd consider every slight similarity to be a reference, however there already were references to popular anime (Soul Scythe, 'Soul Eater'). As I said, vampires and knives don't generally go together in common depictions, right? Maybe we can consider this to be a reference?
