Your job is to try to make the wiki better. Do not threaten other users, or request bans inappropriately. This is a very new wiki, and as such has a lot of very new editors. You are not judge and jury, and your edits are as likely to be reverted as anyone else's. If you feel an editor is adding inappropriate information, please contact them on their talk page and explain politely. If they continue, then report it on Terraria Wiki:Admin noticeboard. Oh, and please sign your talk page posts with 4 tildes (~~~~) or use the Signature button on the edit bar. Thanks! -- Wynthyst File:Curseicon.png talk 02:19, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Sorry about the improper ban request. I did go to the users page and asked him to read the rules and told him it wasn't a forum with a signature and everything. It wasn't a threat, just a request for an admin to look into the issue. On the topic of this page I accidently put it into talk instead of user page. I will move that quickly. As for what it says I put it there because when I edit wikis I have a tendency to get many messages asking why I removed information when it was completely true. --Moxxy 02:29, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
It's fine, just so you know that there are a lot of new wiki users here, and they make mistakes. I would much rather see experienced users taking those few extra minutes to help teach them how to do it better, than having the drama of a lot of reverted edits. Your contributions are appreciated, don't get me wrong, I just want to make sure they don't come at the expense of others. :D -- Wynthyst File:Curseicon.png talk 02:40, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
That's why I felt a ban (not the permanent he got though, wtf was up with that?) would be useful. He could spend the day he was banned to read the rules and understand that a wiki is not a place to discuss or express opinions. I'll make sure to put a proper request in the proper page next time and be more specific. --Moxxy 02:47, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Null is very new to this admin thing... so the permanent ban was his mistake (easily fixed), but even so, a ban for a first edit is inappropriate in any case, barring open spam, or intentional vandalism, which weren't the case here. On a larger more established wiki, you might find that happening, but not here. As I said, I'd rather see teaching, than punishment. :D -- Wynthyst File:Curseicon.png talk 02:55, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Spam

Please don't blank spam page, just post on the notice board. (Link in the left navigation bar). Makes it easier for me to deal with. Thanks! -- Wynthyst File:Curseicon.png talk 03:15, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Videos

Those videos seemed to comply with Terraria Wiki:Video policy but they were just too zoomed out imo. --JonTheMon 02:15, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Well, it's preferred for the videos to not have commentary or text and be completely neutral. Being zoomed out is also a factor in removing videos. --NullTalk 02:16, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
To add on, it's also recommended the videos demonstrate an animation, sound, etc., a few seconds long and not be a full length guide. --NullTalk 02:20, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Upcoming features

If there is a post, you should link it when re-adding those future features, not just put the text back. --JonTheMon 13:40, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
