Hi

About wikia

Sorry to hear about what happened on wikia. To be honest, Hero has been running the wiki like a tyrant from day 1. When I put into question his monopoly on videos (how that even went down, I still cannot understand), my conversations were simply removed. When he blatantly copy pasted our material (which is copyrighted here, so protected), he told us to fuck off, so forced Curse into writing a DMCA against him. That and I got banned :(. I had already brought his behavior into question at wikia central, and they pretty much answered they didn't care, as long as things worked.

I think this whole situation might have brought him more attention then he was expecting, and I can not see this ending well for him. Hero might be a "good" contributor, but never has, and never will be, admin material.

This is the problem with wikia's first come first serve admin policy.

I hope this situation will resolve the best way possible for you. Wikia is not the one (completely) at fault here, and this has never been a Wikia-vs-Curse thing. I know you put a lot of effort into that wiki, and potentially others, and I'd hate to see you abandon it (them) just because of a dispute.

Welcome

Anywhoo, you are more than welcome here. You'll notice we are much more professional here ;) If you find the courage to participate on this wiki, we are here to support you. Or, as you said, you might also participate on Cobalt? I know Wynthyst is there as an admin. I was thinking of joining as an editor. happypal (talk • contribs) 10:53, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

Thank you happypal. Your quite right, I plan to just leave the wiki and let the fact he is a terrible admin show. The other users don't have the skills to keep it up so it should be interesting. I do find wikia at fault as they are the ones who handled this so poorly when greed is the clear cause. But life goes on, i plan to use this wiki from now on i just have to get use to how things are done here. I think this wiki suits my style a bit more, i like the structure of the wiki and fact its not full of little kids. Regarding hero's extra popularity, a user created this. I'm sure you will find it amusing, also i didn't make that. I think i will look into the Cobalt wiki too, i couldn't be bother with the other one it seemed like a waste of time. I Knew You'd Remember Me

I had been gone from the wiki for a while on account of getting Skyrim for Christmas along with a bit of a creative slump on Terraria, and when I come back, the first thing I see is a blog post from Hero. (I hate that word now) I look at the blog post something about not leaving some sad statistics on the home page, wonder what he's talking about, when I see the pics of the polls. The one about you, and the one about Hero. In a bit of a rage, I demand to know what's going on, but my comment never shows up. So I follow the short one-link line of clues to that whole discussion between Hero and Math, with the few posts of yours that hadn't been deleted. I read all of Hero's bull vomit about "underhanded" and "politician's tactics," along with how he rigged the voting by telling all his fans to vote. Frankly, I was ticked off to see that Hero had gotten rid of the only admin I knew because he was afraid of losing his position as the guy who makes videos. So I did the thing that made most sense to me: trying to vandalize his userpage, like he did with others. Unfortunately it was locked. So I left a nasty message on his talk page, and guess who came up lickin Hero's boots. Math. He replied to me saying how mean my comment was and that I was perfectly welcome to leave. Strange due to the fact that in my message I explicitly said not to reply because I was never coming back. Unfortunately, when I said that, I forgot to copy my fancy signature. This time I'm never going back for real. I have to admit though, there are some things I'm really going to miss about that wiki. Like avatar pics. So here I am, sitting at my computer typing, eating mediocre Chef Boyardee pizza raviolis out of a can, regretting I ever saw them on the shelf. But I'm happy.
