Sorry, there seems to be an issue with the edit system, and I was too tired to catch this yesterday. When I clicked on edit the pre-Golem section or something, made a minor edit, and previewed, then applied changes, it didn't apply to just the Golem section, but the whole page. Apologies.

I am pretty sure that you were supposed to reply to my section on your talk page, not mine. Anyways, let me get this straight: Is this what happened?
1. You clicked on the pencil icon next to the Pre-Golem (wasn't it the Pre-Lunatic Cultist section because Celestial Stone is post-golem?) section and started editing the section.
2. You made a minor edit that I think (because of the edit summary) removed the Celestial Stone.
3. You pressed "Save Changes".
4. 10,576 characters were removed from the page instead of 66 characters.

Probably was the Pre-Cultist, yeah. I just made a small edit removing Celestial Stone, that's it. I previewed the section before saving though, it showed just the Pre-Cultist section alone, and I assumed it just previews the section you're editing, so I saved the changes at the bottom of the preview page.

I have notified Westgrass(talkcontribslogsblock log) about this issue with the edit system. MeowMeow123 (talk) 15:41, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
I did some testing but could not reproduce this issue. I speculate that this may be a cache related issues, since this wiki has just been upgraded to mw1.41. Westgrass (talk) 02:48, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
Ok, thanks! MeowMeow123 (talk) 13:04, 25 June 2024 (UTC)

terraria wiki discord invitation

I noticed that all the other active editors on Guide:Class Setups are discussing changes within the Terraria Wiki discord, and I didn't want you to be left out of the discussion, so I'm going to drop an invite here (https://discord.gg/zZGmGqk). I'm looking forward to continuing to work with you! Baconfry39 (talk) 09:50, 19 July 2024 (UTC)

Hello, Mr. or Mrs. Baconfry. Thank you for the invite, but I don't want to make a Discord account or give out a phone number to Discord. MeowMeow123 (talk) 14:35, 22 July 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for the help

Really! It means a lot that another person here is helping me on far-scoped revamps such as these, and catching errors that slip by. Kudos!
P.S. there's a few details such as placing __NOTOC__ and linking the stats that I have made. But good work!

You're welcome! MeowMeow123 (talk) 01:48, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
I'm not sure about the recent Cobalt armor change though. My goal was to format the page for consistency, conciseness, and relevance. I think we can skip the more technical "+10 and +5 for a total of +15" for just the total, which I believe most readers are looking for. 2k7x (talk) 01:51, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
Ok, but I want to include the universal damage and crit bonuses as well, is that feasible? MeowMeow123 (talk) 01:54, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
I think placing those stats in the Notes section is fine. 2k7x (talk) 01:59, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
Is what I did on Mythril armor good? Also what's the point of adding __NOTOC__? MeowMeow123 (talk) 02:01, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
I don't think it's crucial info to list universal stats in the main section. If you really want to, put it in Notes. Otherwise readers can simply look at the body/leggings stats.
__NOTOC__ is there because the article is too short for a table of contents to be useful. 2k7x (talk) 14:19, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
Ok MeowMeow123 (talk) 18:34, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
Excuse me butting in here for a second, but I disagree about the use of __NOTOC__. The general guideline is to only add it when the table of contents gets in the way of the actual content because the page is so short. Articles like Pearlstone Brick Wall or Black Fairy Dust are good examples; a table of contents would be silly there because all of the headings are already visible – there's no need to jump around. And that is actually a good rule of thumb: do all of the headings fit on one screen? (Of course that's going to vary by screen sizes, zoom levels, etc., so it's not a hard rule.)
Now when the intro is longer than a single line, when there is more than one row in the crafting table, or when there are multiple bullet points in the other sections, that's when a page becomes long enough that it requires scrolling and then the table of contents is a useful aid. In my view that is currently the case for all of the armor pages and I don't think any of them qualify for __NOTOC__.

Sure, that makes enough sense. Can you use your bot to remove it from the articles? 2k7x (talk) 14:16, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
Yep, done. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 15:18, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
