Um, this is probably really awkward, but it turns out that tool modifiers that affect speed also increase mining speed. Violent prefixes don't increase speed, but modifiers on the tools themselves do. But... the source of the awkwardness is that I posted the link to the wrong video in the edit summary. Requirements to use dd2 event weapons outside of the event.

I just got bartender on a new character on a new world, and I can't use Lightning Aura Rod I bought from him with the freebie 5 defender medals. Code also seems to show that event has to be defeated on the world you're trying to use the weapons on(with any player character). Are you sure you're not using mods(including custom world generators) and on latest version(1.3.5.3)? Is this single or multiplayer(multiplayer on "vanilla" tshock counts as modded, and multiplayer on a server that is not yours is also questionable)? 86.115.19.146 05:27, 28 October 2017 (UTC)
