A test to determine the distance measurement method for NPC happiness. As shown, neither the Clothier nor the Goblin Tinkerer are close enough when using taxicab distance, and both are close enough when using Chebyshev distance, but only the clothier is close enough when using Euclidean distance. If both influence the Engineer's happiness (multiplier of x0.99), then Chebyshev distance is used. If only the Clothier does (multiplier of x1.13), then Euclidean distance is used. If neither influence the Engineer's happiness (multiplier of x1.01), then taxicab distance is used. Since Engineer's multiplier as shown by the Engineering Helmet (base price of 1 gold, given price of 1 gold 13 silver) is x1.13, we can deduce that the Clothier is the only NPC influencing happiness, and therefore Euclidean distance is used to calculate whether other NPCs are close enough to be considered for NPC happiness.
