New way to beat solar pillar?

I was goofing around one time with some good stuff and found a good way to beat the solar pillar. There just happened to be a natural platform close to the pillar that went away from it for ~60 blocks. As such, it blocked almost all enemies from reaching me, while keeping me away from the pillar. I was still able to take peeks at the pillar's shield to see if it was gone. As I was always grounded, the solar worm bois just minded their own business. One of the good things I had with me happened to be vampire knives. Coupling that with a stardust cell staff (yeah...) that I used to repeatedly place cells under the landform and kill the solar enemies, and the healing I got from killing the solar worm bois with the vampire knives (assisted by a lot of stardust cells) and I couldn't die and finished the pillar with ease.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Realunbeatablegamer (talk • contribs) at 16:19, 4 November 2018
