My guide on getting the ankh shield. The best thing to do is wait until you beat plantera. Most of the new enemy types in the dungeon have a higher chance to drop the armor polish them any of the enemies pre-plantera. Also grind most enemies in the hallow dessert, underground hallow, and corrupted/crimson dessert. This work wonders for me when I was grinding for the ankh charm. Also, never ever get rid of your obsidian skull after your done mining a meteorite/hell stone. You’ll want to save that for when you make an obsidian shield. Also, if you never got the cobalt shield, you could always explore the dungeon while grinding for the armor polish down there. I hope this helps anyone. More than one shield?

- No Idea why it shouldn't be. The effects are really different. Both Items could theoretically be something other than a shield, so... I think. you can use both at the same time. 141.70.81.145 06:32, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
- As seen in-game their Defense stack; this implies that they are fully compatible. Until the opposite is proven I'm guessing it's no problem for a character to use them both at the same time. NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 23:13, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
One more debuff immunity
Noticed that in Expert Mode Ankh Shield provides immunity to Chilled debuff, inflicted by both water and enemies in Snow Biome. Could someone confirm this being bug or otherwise? GJPEV (talk) 20:50, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
The immunity to the “chilled” debuff is only on 3ds, mobile, desktop, and console. NeverGotROD (talk) 06:02, 30 March 2021 (UTC)

What would be the best way to grind the items to make the ankh charm?
Before I fight the queen bee or any of the 3 mech bosses, I want to try and obtain the ankh shield, as all I need to make an ankh shield is an ankh charm, since I already have an obsidian shield, any tips on the best way to obtain the item needed to make the ankh charm?
