It's possible to find an anvil of a type that doesn't have a corresponding ore on that world. For example on a world with lead ore you can still find iron anvils from chests. - Spinfx (talk) 13:46, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
About the anvil...
I only found that iron anvils are inside underground cabins, not the lead ones Player2170 (talk) 04:14, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
