Atrributes

Does it glow, and is it resistant to explosives? 107.60.46.209 04:23, 11 December 2011 (UTC)

It glows, about as much as regular demonite ore, and is not resistant to bombs. 190.55.92.154 04:31, 11 December 2011 (UTC)

use color light = this brick is beautiful

just want to say if you turn colored lighting on it looks more beautiful than plain demonite, in darkened areas the light extends more than demonite (demonite ore without sparkles) its as beautiful as fluorescency and blue torches, the original demonite ore seems to only extend over one block while this can go quite a way, it would be creative to see someone use this as lighting for the ocean since it is quite dark down there, i think the bricks make it have true beauty added to the game, mine were hand-crafted, not drops from the wall of flesh, does this effect the lighting? because I've seen bugs where light and dark conflict even underground before. and especially in the nether, even without darkness debuff, maybe due o the new color engine. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.20.242.10 (talk) at 21:35, December 14, 2011

Spreading Corruption

Does demonite brick spread corruption? It would be a shame if a player built a house, then discovered that the increased corruption spread speed of hardmode left them with a big mess. 142.177.65.117 08:45, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Not a Corruption Material. Probably should be mentioned on its page, since it's something of a counterpart to Pearlstone Brick in terms of being the "Corruption Area Brick" and there's a general assumption that it, being crafted of Ebonstone, would thus be corruptive. It's not, however. Not even in Hardmode, where Corruption tries its level best to choke the world into submission. LoZDestroyer 01:00, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Does it count as a corrupted block?

If I use a lot of Demonite Bricks, will it create an artificial Corruption biome? 189.124.23.59 19:21, 2 November 2015 (UTC)

No, Demonite Brick will not spread corruption or contribute to the creation of a corrupt biome. Gearzein (talk) 23:32, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
