It seems that the tree drops significantly less mushrooms then before, can anyone confirm this?

Tree Height

It might be prudent to include information about the minimum and maximum heights of the trees, how high the ceiling needs to be, and how long it takes for a tree to spawn

Acorn Bug?

I just chopped down a Giant Glowing Mushroom in my artificially created Surface Mushroom Biome, and alone with several glowing mushrooms, I received the gift of an acorn! I'm certain it didn't come from a normal WOOD tree, because this artificial biome was purposely situated in mid-air, away from any spreading Hallow/Corruption/Crimson. 173.228.18.99 00:30, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

Trees=Grass?

This may need further testing, but my mushroom biome turned back into a normal (albeit slightly dark) Forest biome, suggesting that giant mushrooms count for the minimum "mushroom grass" requirement of a mushroom biome. - 24.183.58.176 18:08, 3 March 2014 (UTC)

Yes actually. Mushroom trees and small mushrooms count towards mushroom biome requirements as well as mushroom grass Anonymous132547698 (talk) 19:48, 15 December 2016 (UTC)

Criteria for growing giant glowing mushrooms

The criteria for growing giant glowing mushrooms in an artificial biome are either not complete or are no longer valid in 1.3. I successfully made an artificial biome that has over 100 blocks wide of mud floor, and 15 blocks high over half of it, but only small mushrooms will grow. I removed all of the back wall and increased thickness of the mud floor to 2 tiles thick, but nothing is helping. --HunterZ 02:58, 19 August 2015 (UTC)

UPDATE: After spending a lot of time with no giant glowing mushrooms growing in my artificial glowing mushroom biome, I tried increasing the number of blocks between floor and ceiling from 15 to 16. Almost immediately I started getting giant glowing mushrooms! They appeared on a one brick thick layer of mud with nothing underneath. --HunterZ 18:51, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
