It says it grants 10% increased attack speed, but it also says it grants 15% increased attack speed. Which is it?

Someone who analyzed the code for cobalt armor found that the increase was 10%. Check that talk page. Thursday 01:18, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
I corrected the information on the page, now it is 10% ~Thoorium
I don't know what happened to the version I created, but I still think we should remove both video until someone do a new one with the new armor. ~Thoorium
The "version you created" was deleted, to make way for a move from Cobalt Armor (your version was mostly a copy paste, and lost the history). As for the video, I wouldn't remove it just because it was filmed with the old sprites. The info is still relevant: Furthermore, using an old video is a nice way illustrating the item's history, IMO. happypal (talk • contribs) 13:56, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
Well, the version that was created the day of the patch is the page that should have remained here. The Cobalt Armor page should never have been moved, because the Cobalt page should have simply been tagged as a removed feature. You have effectively lost all page history prior to the update date on BOTH pages now. Once Cobalt Armor is reintroduced, that page will be updated with the new information, but you have zeroed out all history of the original. -- Wynthyst File:Curseicon.png talk 09:37, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

Explanation of page move

There seems to have been some confusion on my move of Cobalt Armor to Jungle Armor, so I'll explain what happened:

  • My point of view is that "Jungle Armor" is not a new item. It is simply the new name of "Cobalt Armor", which also just so happened to receive a new image during the 1.0.3 patch (along with the helms of other Armors). Under these circumstances, the best thing to do is to move the page, both from the game and the wiki's point of view: The current page is the result of the history of the edits from Cobalt Armor; Wiki pages aren't cut-pasted, they are moved. Along with that, the developer announced a brand new item which just so happened to be called Cobalt Armor, which is not the newly name Jungle Armor in any way shape or form. Hence the history of "The item formerly know as Cobalt Armor" is at Jungle Armor (and not lost). Under these circumstances (and given the info I had at the time) the best course of action from my point of view was to move the page before asap before there was too much history fork.
  • Now it is my understanding that the majorities' point of view is that Jungle Armor is a brand new item, that replaced Cobalt Armor. Cobalt Armor was just temporarily removed, and will return changed.
  • Both (IMO) valid point of views.

So there, this is the historical explanation of what happened here. What can I say, I did what I thought was best. I'm not saying it was right (nor wrong), nor do I want to start a discussion on what would have been the best course of action (which would bring nothing anyways). A course of action was taken, and the wiki page is as it is now (too much history to change it back). Next time, I'll try to see it from the other point of view. happypal (talk • contribs) 12:07, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

Page formatting

Terraria_Wiki_talk:Community_portal#Armor_page_formatting let's discuss this. -- Wynthyst File:Curseicon.png talk 09:55, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

Unlisted melee speed bonus?

Prior to patch 1.0.5, I could definitely tell the difference between the muramasa's attack speed with or without jungle armour, but now it seems the same to me; it seems the patch removed the melee attack speed boost. Can anyone else confirm this? 78.105.8.153 15:06, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

I'll take a look and let you know. Olrad 15:10, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Huh, you're right... it's gone. I'll edit the relevant pages now. Thanks for noticing that. Olrad 15:17, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Jungle armor attributes

On the page for the armor itself (and this may apply to other sets, as well), shouldn't the infobox contain all the stats added up, since it is for the armor set itself and not an individual piece?

For example, the page says the set increases the maximum mana by 20, but the set increases it by 60 (total). Right now, the stats displayed are what you would see if you hovered over an individual piece (while wearing the full set). Isn't it logical to display the full, added bonus of the full set, since the page is dedicated to the full set?

It should, Ill fix that now if it isn't already. Colinzer (talk) 19:49, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
