Purple Slime Spawning Regions?

I noticed Purple slimes seem to spawn more frequently around corruption before hardmode, and on the outer 2/3rds of the map, can anyone confirm? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.114.117.104 at 00:21, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

Yea, for some reason, I don't think these things spawn in the center of the map. Not so sure about the corruption thing however. I will say this: considering their stats, they're a threat to brand new characters. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.180.231.172 at 01:07, 24 July 2014 (UTC)

Bonus drops on console

Do purple slimes not carry bonus drops on console or is this information outdated. Please check, I don't have console. Kwonunn (talk) 21:22, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
