Can't Houses in The Real Jungle?

I had tried creating a house in the proper Jungle, both above and below ground. The game didn't seem to think any of my attempts to create a house were suitable however. There doesn't appear to be a note anywhere that houses can't be created anywhere other than near the corruption, so I'm not sure whether this may be something new, or I've made some kind of mistake. I only tried after having activated Hardmode, so perhaps that is somehow relevant. 115.64.72.199 16:21, 7 October 2013 (UTC)

There's a number of reasons why this might be happening. I suggest taking what you have currently and replicating it somewhere else as best as possible. Also note that natural walls are unsuitable for housing, and you need at least one light source. Furnaces and forges do not count as light sources. Check House for more information about what is required for npc housing. The location section details the effects corruption has. --GauHelldragon2 (talk) 17:09, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

Looks

it says he has green skin and a tail, but Witch Doctors WEAR stuff like that! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.53.49.75 at 15:28, 16 October 2013 (UTC) A Dev confirmed he is a lizarad, so it is most likely the tail is his and not a costume. 23:36, 9 October 2019 (UTC)FFF

Quotes

The quotes from this guy sound suspiciously like the character of The Sphinx from "Mystery Men"... or is it just me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.210.101.235 at 14:44, 27 January 2015 (UTC) In 1.4 I got a new quote (not a hqppiness quote). It said something like "Watch your talismans. If you wind some, you lose some". I remember it was windy at the time, and he was at his house in the jungle, but I cant get the quote again. It might be a moon phase quote or something; I really don't know.

IP, you're correct, I just found it in the code. Happens when windy: Keep your talismans close... if you wind some, you lose some. Breathlessblizzard (talk) 01:55, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

Spawning on mobile

As of the day I am posting this, the witch doctor isn’t spawning even after I’ve beaten the queen bee, any answers to this? Raincoatwarrior (talk) 20:58, 6 January 2019 (UTC)

Make sure there are houses available for him. Otherwise, report it to the forums as a bug. - Murrayzero (talk) 22:11, 6 January 2019 (UTC)

Witch Doctor quotes in rain

The quote section doesn't list the Witch Doctor's quotes during the rain. He has 2 I think; "The sound of rain is soothing to the soul" and "Balance is key. We need sun, we need rain. Too much of either leads to ruin". Would be good if someone adds it because I have no idea how to edit the quote section — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.37.242.135 at 16:24, 9 August 2020 (UTC)

Is it possible to get the Witch Doctor to full happiness?

I'm curious on this: Can the witch doctor ever have full happiness, and if not, should this be information provided on the wiki page? I put him in a house which was near the Dryad, in the Jungle, and gave the solitary bonus, but the Pylon was only 8 gold and 50 silver rather than the lowest possible price of 7G 50S (I know this because this was the price I saw for a pylon when speaking to the Princess, and I had just before been given the Leading Landlord achievement for clicking on her.) Since the Witch Doctor does not 'love' any NPCs, I am unable to achieve a higher bonus without getting rid of the solitary bonus (which provides almost the exact same modifier that any other liked NPC could give) or incurring overcrowding. I'm asking mainly because I don't want to assume anything before adding this information, and I also want to make sure others deem said information useful enough to add to the page.
