This template is to be placed on REDIRECT pages (it will add the redirect to categories).
It can also be used to place the item in exclusivity categories such as [[Category:Mobile content]] (see [[Shadow Mummy]]) and [[Category:Hardmode-only items]] (see [[Flameburst Staff]])

Purpose: Mainly to add items to dpl lists that rely on the item existing in a particular category.
This template will aid the {{eicons}} template, which places icons after item names and subsequently the {{item link}}, {{il2c}}, and {{crafts row}} templates.

Usage: {{categories|tag1|tag2|tag3 etc...|named param=value}}

Allowed tags: (this content will be retrieved from the redirect)
platform/s (or content)
hardmode (will only be added if redirected page is in [[Category:Hardmode-only items]])
introduced
rare
source
all (all categories excluding platform specific and patched categories - most group pages contain content from various platforms, and patches are not necessarily inclusive to all items on the page)

Named parameters can be used to place the redirect in additional categories:

curgen=yes (will be needed once 1.3 hits consoles)

cat1= (for a category not coded; must be spelled exactly.)

name=page name; default is current page (since this parameter is primarily used for testing purposes, it defaults show to yes)

Example:{{categories|platforms|hardmode=yes}} will add the redirect to [[Category:<platform> content]] and place it in [[Category:Hardmode-only items]].
