My interests include datamining Terraria with Red Gate's fantastic Reflector tool and scrubbing wiki pages of annoying patch histories and non-encyclopedic styles.

Dealing with objects of type RestfulMonad

I mostly edit the wiki when I get bored at work and sometimes when I get bored at home. Or when I start editing at work and then go home. Or when I find out new stuff using Reflector.

I usually scan the Recent Changes page for new edits and check out stubs to see if they can be improved. Sometimes I rewrite pages entirely if the mood strikes me and the page could use some love. And hey, you should too! The wiki's only as good as its editors after all.

I put some stuff on a page and you got rid of it when you made a bunch of other changes. What gives?

If you see me obliterate your edit at the same time as I make a bunch of changes to the rest of the page, it's probably because I'm trying to better integrate your input into the article. Whenever I remove something I try to make sure the content I take away gets put back before I hit save. If I missed something, go ahead and add it back in but make sure I actually left it out instead of simply moving it around!

How come you're adding all these numbers and specifics to articles? How do you know that's right?

If you see me make a bunch of claims about how the game works it's probably because I've been reflecting over it recently and teased out some more info from the tangled mass of mile-long methods and 400-field classes.

That's not how it works at all! I found a chest with four Muramasas in the desert protected by three King Slimes!!

Did I say the game works one way and you think it works another way? Let me know! Call me a filthy liar on my talk page and I'll see if you're right. But be prepared for me to respond with reflected pseudocode or method names.

Projects

I've decided to start a Standardization Project to come up with a set of templates that we can apply to each page type to keep things looking nice and organized. Aside from just the ubiquitous infobox we have today, the pages on things like monsters, items and blocks should have a common layout. It makes information easier to find, makes the wiki look classy and satisfies my deep-seated obsessive compulsions for everything to line up nicely. Yes I sort my Skittles before I eat them, what's so wrong with that?
