Comment about Pumpkin Moon border

Hi, thanks for clearing up the issue with the black border of the Pumpkin Moon and Frost Moon images! I undid your edit, though, because comments like those are not really suited for non-talkspace; instead e.g. my user talk page or the image's talk page (File talk:Pumpkin Moon.png). You can also put them in the edit/upload summaries of course, like you did as well. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 01:58, 1 November 2021 (UTC)

Ok, thanks mr rye ;) --AmsterWikis (talk) 10:47, 1 November 2021 (UTC)

Reuploading furniture sheets

Thank for updating them, but there are still outdated ones. Go to the reupload category for reference. --Blazerun19 (talk) 21:32, 11 March 2023 (UTC)

I believe all of the ones I did not do would require a FULL redo instead of just adding the new tiles because of the way the images are compressed. If you look closely you can see a border around where it was resized, which gives a weird effect. It takes maybe 10 minutes to add new sprites, but a full redo can take hours, which is why I have not (and don't intend to right now) do them. --AmsterWikis (talk) 21:40, 11 March 2023 (UTC)

Quick notice

Thought I'd let you know that Dark Lance is missing 1.4.4 demo since I figured you might have not noticed it, and you seem passionate about this project. Ignore this message otherwise, not trying to bother you. SlabFoot20 (talk) 23:42, 15 May 2023 (UTC)

Thank you for letting me know! I have a long list of demos I am going to redo, so I'll put that at the top of my list. --AmsterWikis (talk) 23:47, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
First of all, thank you for your dedication on this; I am sure your work has helped many players out.
I want to go into further detail on this, though:
  1. This editor first noticed that the Dark Lance demo was outdated, but they only corrected it with the appropriate (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) icons. I followed up their edit to add a template requesting a 1.4.4 demo of the Dark Lance, in which I stated that the (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) demo should be moved to File:Dark Lance (demo) (old).gif once the request is fulfilled. You mistakenly reuploaded it on top of the old one rather than making a new file upload. Do you mind fixing this, for the sake of maintaining pre-1.4.4 info for other platforms?
  2. Since I told you about this, another user, TheGoomba98, noticed that there are more spear pages missing 1.4.4 demo. These include The Rotted Fork and Gungnir, so they placed that aforementioned template on said pages. As an addendum, that template categorizes the page here, so you should probably keep an eye on that category filling up with demo requests in the future.

Ah, sorry, let me work that out. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. --AmsterWikis (talk) 04:43, 21 May 2023 (UTC)

about your GIF(s)

hello! I don't have a problem with your contribution, it's about the blocks and walls in those GIFs, I want to know what those are? It looks good. Eric Zhang (talk) 12:09, 10 July 2023 (UTC)

These are Stone Slabs (and walls). See Help:Creating animated GIFs for more information about creating demo GIFs. BadPiggy1024 (talk) 15:02, 10 July 2023 (UTC)

I need some help with how to make weapon GIFs!

So, I have the software for which to make weapon demo GIFs, namely through ScreentoGif. However, although I know how to record GIFs and the like, I'm not sure how to make sure that GIFs come out with the right size and quality. Is there any advice you can give me about how to sort out the image size and quality through ScreentoGif? For example, I'm not sure how my Toy Tank and Forbidden Armor demo gifs turned out with fairly decent quality but the Shimmer Arrow one I tried uploading has the wrong quality and size for some reason.

DoctorePothole (talk) 05:42, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

I personally convert a recording into a smaller mp4 that's cropped to the right dimensions and area I wish to use for the GIF. I then convert it to a GIF using ffmpeg and compress it with ezgif before uploading it to the wiki.
