Hmph, my talk page seems to have vanished. Let's fix that. ;-) --MentalMouse42 (talk) 01:43, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
"Lightning Auras block the rope extension" on Ropes
Could you explain what that means? Lightning Auras (I assume you mean the sentries) aren't placeable so I can't imagine how they would block a rope. -- Breathlessblizzard (talk) 14:21, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
- I was making a hellevator and using the Aura sentry to probe for nearby caves. As it happened there was one directly below me -- I tossed a Scarab Bomb to break through and started running rope, but I found that the rope extension was stopped by the edge of the aura itself. I couldn't extend it to the ground until I moved the sentry elsewhere. And yes that's weird, which is why I thought it worth mentioning. --MentalMouse42 (talk) 10:28, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- Could you do me a quick favor and test it again? I just tried the following and strangely, could not reproduce:
- Dig a hole to the Underground Layer
- Place a Lightning Aura Staff sentry at the bottom of the hole
- Hold left click at the top of the hole with Ropes so they extend downwards
- After trying all that, the rope passed through the aura like it wasn't there. What did you do differently? -- Breathlessblizzard (talk) 12:47, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- Huh. I'm not sure what the difference would be. I was digging a box around one of my corruption biomes. Let me go try it again in-game... Nope, now I can't reproduce it either. Bah. OK I've gotta remember not to wiki such odd occurrences without make sure I can reproduce them.... Feel free to revert. --MentalMouse42 (talk) 13:33, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- Hah, no worries, it really be like that sometimes -- Breathlessblizzard (talk) 13:52, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

"... Stained Glass has come into its own... "
Hi, I like this new revision of the stained glass point. I could not tell what point the previous revision was trying to drive because the phrase usage (my bad). I was trying to translate the phrase into literal english.
I had/have two concerns about this:
- I think using a phrase sounds too colloquial for a wiki, especially when there was the exclamation mark.
- People may not understand the phrase (I had to google it myself) and (it might not translate well) this would take away from the wiki's ability to be a source of clear information.
Thanks Yggdrasilmamel45 (talk) 15:20, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
- Hm. You may have a point there. It is certainly a traditional English phrase (this site dates the usage of "his own" to at least the 17th century), but the difficulty I had in digging up that link is likely meaningful, and Wiktionary has no cites for the full phrase before the 20th century. I will try to find an alternative. --MentalMouse42 (talk) 02:00, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
