Mobile

Are you a mobile player? If you are, then you should add yourself the list of users and the versions they play. LordofEditing (talk) 00:31, 28 November 2016 (UTC)

I play on Desktop but have access to mobile. I wasn't sure if adding myself to the list was appropriate, so I left a message behind on the noticeboard saying I wouldn't mind. Shadowsyllvet (talk) 00:35, 28 November 2016 (UTC)
You should, for people could then refer to you about mobile content, for example recipes. LordofEditing (talk) 00:36, 28 November 2016 (UTC)
Agreed, I'm in the process of confirming all the potion recipes for mobile. Just need to check if there is a category page for potion ingredients. I'll add myself once this is done. Shadowsyllvet (talk) 00:40, 28 November 2016 (UTC)

Wiki Friends

You might have seen friends on the wiki before. You do not have any friends. I have left a request so this is how to agree just so you know.

  • 1. Someone has to click the Add Friend button located in your profile.

    2. This has created a request.

    3. You have to go to their profile. You might not get notified about your request. --------

    4. Where you would have the Add Friend button, you will have a deny and agree button.

    5. Click any of the buttons. If you agree to add the friend, it will be in the friends box of your profile page.

  • I just want you to know how to start getting friends. Profile|Talk page|Contribs|User information (by Myfinalettempt) 17:36, 29 November 2016 (UTC)

    You could consider...

    User page

A user page is for information about you. You can do this in your own style but please remember to follow a few style guide rules like capitalizing links. You can also use the best things you know so far, like what I think on the wiki is the greatest thing I've learned on the wiki is the templates {{Collapse top}} and {{Collapse bottom}}.

    Signature

This is a very simple thing that you can use from the Edit Profile button. You can get to very complicated stuff! Just follow the Signature Rules, with the most important being the character limit.

    Talk reminder

You can add this as a reminder to put down the signature. It is on my page, you can use my one at the top of the page with this code:

    {| class="plainlinks" align=center style="border: 1px solid #AFCFE2; padding: 3px 15px; border-radius: .7em; -moz-border-radius: .7em; -webkit-border-radius: .7em; background: #E4F0F7; color: #063B5E; line-height:23px; font-size:90%; width:700px; text-align:center; " | style="font-size:110%" |'''[http://terraria.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=User_talk:Shadowsyllvet&action=edit&section=new click here] to post a new comment'''. <br/> Please sign your post by adding '''<nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>''' to the end or the comment will be marked as unsigned. |}

Please copy it from the view function, using it from the source will mess it up. Profile|Talk page|Contribs|User information (by Myfinalettempt) 21:10, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

If the white boxed code does not work, copy it off my talk page and change Myfinalettempt in the external link to your own name.

    Rollback

I've added the "rollback" feature to your account at Terraria Wiki. Please have a look at Help:Rollback for some important information about this tool, and how it is to be used. Thanks, and feel free to contact me with any questions. Equazcion (talk) 23:03, 6 Dec 2016 (UTC)

I appreciate that. Quick question regarding rollback, Does rollback get around the issue "conflicting intermediate edits"? When attempting to undo multiple harmful edits to a page, I often have to undo them one by one in sequential order. I dislike having to make 4 edits on a single page, feels like cheating/double posting.
Side note: would it be inappropriate of me to delete the above section("you could consider") from my talk page? It feels like clutter and I'm not going to use the provided information. Shadowsyllvet (talk) 23:38, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
You generally have a lot of leeway when it comes to your own talk page. You can delete or archive any discussions you see fit (archive by cutting/pasting to a subpage like User talk:Shadowsyllvet/Archive 1, for example). It would still be frowned upon to do something like remove individual comments from an exchange, or to edit someone else's comment, unless there's good reason.
You can use "undo" on multiple edits by selecting the range of edits to undo on the history page before clicking the "undo" link. Rollback does this automatically by undoing the latest edit and all previous consecutive edits by the same user.
Hope that's clear enough, but let me know. Equazcion (talk) 23:49, 6 Dec 2016 (UTC)
That makes perfect sense and I appreciate the clarification. Although, having the rollback link in the "recent changes" list seems almost redundant since you'd generally have to visit the page in the first place to see if it's needed lol. Shadowsyllvet (talk) 00:02, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
No problem :) Of course you should check most edits before undoing/rolling back, but the rollback links in Recent Changes can be convenient when there's a proven vandal who hasn't been blocked yet, is continuing to raise havoc, and there's little chance that they're doing anything constructive. Valentine Ring sprite update

The sprite was updated, just not sure which update... 1.2.8798 doesn't exist.TOTORO01 (talk) 23:04, 9 December 2016 (UTC)

I rolled that back intending to change the link to 1.2.11212 as that seems like the most logical and only mention of sprites being updated. Shadowsyllvet (talk) 23:10, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
Hmmm, the sprite seemed to be changed on September 8th, 2016, however, there are no corresponding updates, when viewing the file history, it was updated on the 16th of August, with no corresponding update so?TOTORO01 (talk) 23:14, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
1.2.8798 • May 26, 2015 that's the version it points to and it was done by a trusted editor. i'm not sure why the link is red. Shadowsyllvet (talk) 23:32, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
I reverted my revert... created page 1.2.8798 as a redirect to mobile version history.TOTORO01 (talk) 23:37, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
Glad we had this discussion, I just assumed at first that the initial version was wrong since the sprite was updated. Ctrl+F failed me when I was looking for the 8798 version the first time. Shadowsyllvet (talk) 23:47, 9 December 2016 (UTC)

    Sandbox

Moved from my sand box article 00:45, 10 December 2016 (UTC)

What is it that you're updating? Is this going to be a new page? If so, I have a few edits to make.TOTORO01 (talk) 00:39, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
No, the guide already exists, I have the original text commented out below for ease of access while editing. The guide is Guide: Things to always carry and it seemed to need a hand. Additional input is appreciated. Moving this to my talk page. Shadowsyllvet (talk) 00:45, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
I moved this here since the discussion in the middle of the sandbox article would inevitably be deleted. pinging you in case you didn't get a notice. User:TOTORO01. ----- Shadowsyllvet (talk) 00:51, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
Oh, I see. Yeah, that page does seem to be lacking.TOTORO01 (talk) 00:53, 10 December 2016 (UTC)

    Verify note on Summon Weapons

You added a verify tag to the Summon Weapons page. I just calculated the damage from the values and formulas on this wiki and the 257 is correct. If you get another number something on the wiki is not right. I use the calculation on the damage types page, with following values:

    Stardust Cell Staff 60 + 18% = 71 damage
    Stardust armor 66% + Hercules Beetle 15% + Papyrus Scarab 15% + Summoner Emblem 15% + Avenger Emblem 12% + Destroyer Emblem 10% + Celestial Stone +10% + Accessory Modifier (6*4=)24% + Well Fed 5% + Wrath Potion +10% + Cute Fishron Mount 15% + Feral Bite 20% + Damage Nebula 45% = 262%
    => 71+262% = 257 damage

If the value is not correct, then something on this wiki is not correct and we should try to find out what :-). But my guess is you have forgotten something (at least I hope so). I can not test this, even if I wanted (which I do not), but I could check the code IF something is wrong, but I have no idea how complex this is.

I used your talk page as you created the verify note, feel free to move the discussion somewhere else, I usually read at least all talk page edits. Thanks for testing. Flisch42 (talk) 00:17, 13 December 2016 (UTC)

That looks like a mistake on my part, did the 1.3.4 update add an accessory slot, or is one of the accessories listed active when not equipped?
Today I learned something new... I wasn't aware of the Demon Heart or it's effect... I'll remove the verify tag and I think I'll replace the trivia with your calculations above. Thanks for the reply, Shadowsyllvet (talk) 01:00, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
