why does the dirt break when placed after using the dirt rod?

I'm on switch...

Knockback?

Can someone please explain why the dirtrod has knockback. I'm not saying it doesn't, it just seems strange.

Statistics outdated

The fact that the dirt rod only destroys dirt on the mobile version is not true--I have a dirt rod on the mobile version and it does move dirt around properly. 180.172.32.101 05:27, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Thank you for pointing that out, I've now removed that note. Unfortunately, the developers for the Mobile and Console don't give us much information, so we get nearly all of our information from various users. on switch, the dirt rod makes the dirt gets destroy after letting go of it and it hits ground. so it isn't about moving the dirt, its placing the dirt.

Can we get a gif of the dirt rod in action?
