Shell =/= shield

Error on page regarding total reduction?

The page says that an Endurance Potion, Beetle armor, Worm Scarf and the frozen shell leads to a 74% damage reduction. I did the math and 10 + 45 + 17 + 25 = 97, not 74. Either their is a cap on damage reduction i don't know about, or my math is right. Which one is it? Puzzlemaster35 (talk) 01:53, 30 September 2015 (UTC)

Maybe they just updated it on the site, but the beetle armor is taken in as a totally different factor: (100%-45%) * (100%-(25%+17%+10%)) = 26.4% damage taken = 73.6% damage reduction (i just copied it from the Damage section of the wiki) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.191.75.112 at 11:22, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

Possibly Incorrect drop chance?

I just rand across a forum post claiming rather firmly that the drop chance is 1/100, not 1/200. Anyone over here sure of the truth? --MentalMouse42 (talk) 23:32, 19 August 2019 (UTC)

The drop chance is indeed 1/100, according to the  Desktop 1.3.5.3 source code. The revision histories for both this and the Ice Tortoise pages reveal that there was this one editor who changed the value without any apparent reason (Frozen Turtle Shell change, Ice Tortoise change) – so it was most certainly vandalism, especially since there is nothing in the changelog hinting at a change of drop rate.
