Talk:Lightning Aura sentry summons

While underwater using my lightning aura rod for light, I broke the block below me and the aura sank a couple of blocks. Is there any known reason for this? It sank into solid blocks. Reecespuff (talk) 03:36, 6 December 2016 (UTC)

I'd guess that summoning a stationary entity affected by gravity inside of a liquid causes some issues with clipping. When you break a block under water it causes ALL of the water to update and the Aura sinks. Shadowsyllvet (talk) 03:57, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
Lightning aura sentries have a few bugs. Try summoning one in water on sloped blocks for some extra fun -- they jump up and down indefinitely (at least they did last time I tried, perhaps before 1.3.4.3). I'd guess they'll be resolved in future patches, but if you want to report bugs use the forum at http://forums.terraria.org. Equazcion (talk) 04:51, 6 Dec 2016 (UTC)
Interesting thing I just found out, and I've edited the page to reflect this, Lightning Aura sentries are affected by displacement, and are extra glitchy when that happens. 192.24.117.203 11:35, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
