Talk:Roman candle

Someone is making the same claim in the forum: Demolitionist sells Roman Candle, and Clothier sells Festive Top Hat. He posted screenshots. I'm attempting to get more info but he's being vague... http://forums.terraria.org/index.php?threads/unofficial-thaksgiving-update-discussion-thread.4717/#post-138641 Equazcion (talk) 17:50, 15 Nov 2014 (UTC)

I see. It's not entirely unreasonable that it's for New Years, seeing as how it's a roman candle and all, so I don't disbelieve the claim. I just wasn't sure if it should be marked as obtainable if a player can only currently get it by changing things outside the game. --Gearzein (talk) 18:07, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
He says he "enabled new year's season". I'm not sure what that means exactly though. If he changed the date then he'd know which date it would be sold at, but he doesn't. I'd wait til people confirm they're available at certain times with no hacks required. Equazcion (talk) 18:20, 15 Nov 2014 (UTC)

Bug

So, I thought bugs should not be reported here. However, this bug makes the Roman Candle unobtainable and that's the reason why I am not sure if that bug should be removed (It still exists on the latest android version(1.2.7899)).

This is kind of contradicted by the claim that it's still obtainable by changing the date. As noted above, though, there were some weird obtainability issues before its formal introduction, so I'm somewhat inclined to believe you. If 1.2 made it entirely unpurchasable, then changing the system date shouldn't have any effect. If it's not too much trouble, can you change the date on your device to Christmas and talk to your local Demolitionist to confirm this? Gearzein (talk) 20:03, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
I checked and I can confirm that in 1.2.7899 both the Roman Candle and the Festive Top Hat are unobtainable. Chr4ever (talk) 16:35, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
