Soul Drop

Apparently both the Soul of Light (SoL) and the Soul of Night (SoN) are rare drops from almost every creature, but they will only drop a SoL while in the Hallow, and a SoN in the Corruption. Confirmed in the Underground of both Biomes.--TerraSpyro007 19:25, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Souls drop from Skeletron Prime and Destroyer

Also i figured out that you can get both son and sol from skeleton prime if you fight him and destroyer underground it might not let you With skeleton prime or destroyer so you then must go to the under world there you can get 50 of each it might not work for you cause Of the density of the particuler document they the terraria profile is on if so you must delete the profile but save half of it preferably The top half and the redownload it thus you should be able to do it — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.107.139.30 at 12:44, 30 September 2014 (UTC)

About the Suspicious looking skull...

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to get souls from King Slime and the slimes it spawns in 1.4

I fought 3 King Slimes in the underground hallow in 1.4.0.1, and didn't get a single soul of light from the slimes or the boss itself. 70.170.120.136 23:56, 17 May 2020 (UTC)e
