Duplicate?

Why does this even exist? We already have a page for Consumable weapons. goldenapple (talk) 12:03, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

I believe the intent is to match existing pages for melee, ranged, magic and summoning. Since there are now armor sets dedicated to throwables, consumables that are not affected by these bonuses, and a non-consumable weapon that uses ammo to deal "throwing damage", there may actually be merit to keeping this page and Consumable Weapons in parallel- though obviously they'd need to be edited to make this distinction rather than just being identical pages. Redirect

Now that all 1.3 info is being removed, should this just become a redirect towards the consumable weapon list? Personma (talk) 09:46, 17 December 2022 (UTC)

In my opinion, it's worth it to keep this page, as Throwing was part of the game for a long time and so has become an established term. I think it's important to have a clear explanation of what Throwing means nowadays and what it used to mean, to avoid any confusion (e.g. on the part of players who haven't played since 1.4 and are getting back into the game), and I reckon this article is the best place for that. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 22:37, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
