Giant tortoise spawn rate

It says you may have to wait a long time, however their spawn rate is high during the night. I was fighting them non stop at the surface. During the day they were replaced by Derpling, hence why you may have had to wait?

Turtle Scale or Turtle Shell?

Acording to Giant Tortoise's page, it's called "Turtle Scale", but this page says "Turtle Shell". Which one is it?--Dragon3025 (talk) 02:48, 15 October 2013 (UTC)

It's "Turtle Shell" ingame. I do believe a lot of early afterupdate edits were made using names from inventory editor, which is RIFE with errors. BTW, the name you want to be seen is put after the divider in doubled brackets, not before. Barhandar (talk) 03:53, 15 October 2013 (UTC)

Turtle Shell before plantera

That is expected behavior – the Turtle Shell can drop at any time in Hardmode. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 04:15, 22 December 2022 (UTC)
