Why?

Why does this page exist, if there is no information? Maybe rumors could be posted here?

The information is that there is no information about upcoming features. happypal (talk • contribs) 19:02, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
Is this article still a "stub"? If so what else should be on it? --GauHelldragon 07:51, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
No, I don't think it is a stub. The page is a "ressource page" or whatever, not really an article. happypal (talk • contribs) 09:46, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
I was wondering if we could include a column for confirmed features like the Beam Sword, and have another for suspected features which we don't know much about --Atlas9802 (talk) 04:31, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
All items with Possibly in front of them are suspected features. (But then again so are all items as they may change before release.) So it should already be easy to find all 'confirmed' features. --0icke0 (talk) 08:48, 3 May 2013 (UTC)

'To do list'

Should we list the features from this article? --Naut 14:18, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

I don't see why not. --Theothersteve7 14:27, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

"wikitable"

is missing a divider between the two sections, as of this post there is only a gap between the last thing in first category and the first in second category. 96.13.5.225 21:54, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

1.0.6 to be released tomorrow.

Turtles

I was on IRC the day before 1.0.6 was released, waiting for it to come out and chatting with my friends about the game. We were talking and the topic of turtles came up, we talked to Redigit about it and he agreed to add them to the to-do list for 1.1.0. I don't see why this continues to be removed from this page. If it's a problem of sourcing then I'd like to know if it's even possible to source a particular IRC chat so I can add sources for this.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.25.0.183

A source is a must, because without it we'll have no idea if you're telling the truth or not. iLiaWneK • T • C 20:12, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
Okay, but how do I source a IRC conversation? I would've sourced it if I knew a way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.25.3.198
You could go through your chat log (or something similar) then upload that to pastebin. [[iLiaWneK|talk|contributions]] 10:11, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

1.1 Corruption and anti-corruption additions

Facts:

  • Holy water announced
  • Anti-corruption biome announced
  • purple and light blue water items shown
  • light blue grass shown

I think it's a safe assumption that the light blue water is holy water, the purple water is unholy water, and the light blue grass is a feature of the anti-corruption biome. It's also extraordinarily likely that unicorns will be an anti-corruption (can we call it hallowed?) creature. I see a little bit of squabbling about this, so I'd just like to lay it out here. --Theothersteve7 17:52, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

Considering the purple holy water is the only holy water equipped I don't see how there could be 2 types of holy water, it's the one being thrown. The inventory sprite is just different, not unusual... 72.252.29.58 10:29, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

Of course a projectile that looks nothing its inventory icon is unusual. Also, both the purple and blue Holy Water-ish items are there. Redigit describes the feature in the very next paragraph — he equipped the blue variant he's throwing to the mouse cursor. If you look at where his cursor is, you'll see the 165 stack of what can safely be assumed to be Holy Water. --Lunboks 11:49, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

1.1 Accessories

Hi, can someone please remove the "possible sprite update" text from the "Light blue-colored boots", "Some sort of rectangular device" and "Light blue-colored shield with a pattern", as Redigit has stated on his user profile that they are all new items, not re-sprites. I would, but I don't know how to cite or the standards of such. Seen here.

niSh197 - "so those accessories in that pic, re-sprites or new end game ones?" Redigit - "They are all new items."

Well spotted. I'll add it. --Lunboks 15:45, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

lizard tranformation?

look at 1:16 of the new video and you see the a normal looking character becoming a lizard thing when it enters the water and it could breath underwater from what i could see on fullscreen in 1080p. also there is a lizard head looking buff(with no timer) when the guy enters the water. some one can double check the Terraria 1.1 Trailer. i assume this has wiki enough standards not to go by what one person claims and actually would like to double check things just to verify it. i did not create an account but the name reincarnatedwolfgod works assuming someone did not already take it

i made an account--Reincarnatedwolfgod 12:28, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

i got a more general name until it can be verified what it's exactly called. swamp monster lizard thing and i don't know what section it would be part of in the Upcoming features page and i am to lazy to find out. some other non lazy person can add it --Reincarnatedwolfgod 06:05, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Tiyuri's tweets

Tiyuri is working on STARBOUND. These are not terraria updates.

Beam Sword

I have put together a page on the Beam Sword item using the sprites I could gather, It proabably needs refrences. --Atlas9802 (talk) 05:26, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

PVP Update

Redigit mentioned on Plug.DJ he want to do an Update that is just about PVP yesterday sometimes after 1.2, don't know where to put this in the article, so I put it here. I don't have an Screenshot of it, maybe later. --EpicCriddle (talk) 07:39, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

Reporting Vandlist

A I.P. user 10.105.10.101 added "mourning wood" to the list. I don't know how to report it, so I'm posting about it here.--Dragon3025 (talk) 23:23, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

Wasn't that based on this image? Unless that image is somehow a joke, then that might actually be in the next update. --72.83.33.87 00:34, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

I just discovered that it's already in the game: Mourning Wood.--Dragon3025 (talk) 22:49, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Things from 1.2.1 section to move to unspecified version section?

The following items weren't implemented in 1.2.1, according to the changelog:

  • Lunar Boss
  • Professional Translation
  • A way to obtain Steampunk Wings
  • Wall of Steel
  • Halloween-Based Biome

Should these be moved to the "unspecified version" section? -- KhymChanur (talk) 06:35, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Lunar Boss, Steampunk Wings and Professional Translation will probably all be in one update, which is most likely 1.2.2. And I'm pretty sure it was never mentioned that they will add Wall of Steel in a later update, neither was a Halloween-based Biome, as we have a Halloween-based Event, which is the Halloween Night. And I did you a favor and removed the "references" from the little list you posted because it caused some errors. --EpicCriddle (talk) 10:59, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

source

whoever is adding so much random stuff should really add a source,. so far i find a lot of this is speculation or just wishes from a random player, rather than stuff actually hinted at by redigit. 77.173.25.253 14:55, 27 October 2013 (UTC)

I demand proof!

The way I see it; source or gtfo.

So far I can't find any sources for almost all of the information pertaining to the Christmas event. I've read all the cited sources at the bottom of the page. Going to remove tomorrow if nobody cites them.
