No offense, but what purpose does this template serve? As with the Perfect template, you should consider what purpose these templates serve before your create them. LordofEditing =(Talk)= 09:43, 9 December 2016 (UTC)

This template and the one you mentioned were created by different editors. Also, when used properly, this template has a valid purpose. It serves as a visible summary of guide pages. Not all guides successfully summarize the content in the top paragraph. Items have a paragraph dedicated to describing what this item is and does, some guides just simply dive right in to overload the reader with information. It's a carry-over from wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Nutshell. I created it when someone asked for a "TL;DR" template. It serves to hopefully make a complicated technical page more inviting to casual readers.

Wikipedia has it on many of their documentation and policy pages. We may not have quite as many uses for it here (Wikipedia has about a thousand documentation and policy pages, versus us at perhaps 20), but it does have a couple uses here. Equazcion ^(talk) 12:44, 9 Dec 2016 (UTC)
