About my revert of your edits

I'm sorry I reverted your edits on the Blood Moon page. I was wrong. I still think it would have been better to use 1/9 chance and add a day for every 7, but that doesn't excuse me in any way. My sincere apologies. 88.193.92.203 05:54, 25 May 2017 (UTC)

Actually, you were correct. For every night that's not a new moon, there is a 1/9 chance for a Blood Moon. The odds don't change after 4 hours, they are still 1/9. Each night the dice are rolled. Each night has the same probability. It does not increase as time goes on. Whether it's 1 hour, or 11 hours, the odds remain the same. You could go 11 hours without a Blood Moon. It's just a roll of a 9-sided die. – Ferretwings (talk) 13:03, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
Unfortunately it doesn't matter if I was correct or not. Not being great at probability math in the first place and having forgotten a huge portion of what I knew I was not qualified decide if that information was correct or not. I based my decision on a vague recollections that might not have even been applicable in this case. I thought I was correct at the time, but my thought was along the lines of "don't know what's correct, but it's definitely not this". Not being certain I should have left it as is for others to decide, and at most make a new talk about it.
I spent some hours trying to refresh my knowledge, found this link to wikipedia and I don't know if it's applicable, which reminded me that I really shouldn't be talking about things I don't fully understand. So, once again, my apologies to everyone. 88.193.92.203 14:37, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
