Hitting enemies behind the player

Only sword? I'm pretty sure Night's Edge can also hit enemies behind. 93.50.129.38 16:03, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

Incorrect values in 1.3.0.8

Recently got a hold of one of these, it seems the values have been slightly changed since 1.3.0.1 - I see 21 damage and Weak knockback on a vanilla (no reforge) arkhalis. (Patch 1.3.0.8) 95.103.217.72 10:42, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

EDIT: Apologies, forgot about reforges on equipment. Damage is unchanged, knockback is still "Weak", though. 95.103.217.72 12:13, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

Savejacking works to get these.

It is kinda tedious because you have to run over there tho. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 00gogo00 (talk • contribs) at 01:21, 1 February 2017 (UTC)

Background Sword Sprite drops

I have a couple of questions for our code checkers:
1: The Background Sword Sprite can occur elsewhere in the cavern layer, not just in the Enchanted Sword Shrine, correct? Or did this change with 1.3.0.1?
2: The Arkhalis can drop from ANY background sword sprite, correct? Or just from the one contained within an Enchanted Sword Shrine?

1. Yes. Relevant code part is in worldgen, "Piles" generation pass(type = 187; style = 17;). It seems it can be generated underground too, not just caverns(int j1 = WorldGen.genRand.Next((int) Main.worldSurface, Main.maxTilesY - 300);). Also, I personally encountered random enchanted sword tile once in 1.3.5.3
2. Code doesn't seem to have any additional checks besides tile type and frame.
Try testing yourself, small expert crimson world, seed: 820518866 enchanted sword at 974 east, 500 caverns. Make a house there and restore world .bak files till you get arkhalis.

I found arkhalis......on mobile

I found the arkhalis rock in terraria mobile why? Yeetmcgee345 (talk) 22:11, 11 May 2019 (UTC)

Are you saying that when you broke a Enchanted Sword comparison.png, an Arkhalis dropped? – Ferretwings (talk) 01:20, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
Yes Yeetmcgee345 (talk) 01:25, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
I don't suppose you are taking part in the Mobile 1.3 Beta Testing? – Ferretwings (talk) 01:29, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
Wish I could I don’t have discord Yeetmcgee345 (talk) 02:25, 12 May 2019 (UTC)

E X P L A I N

Arkhalis is not powerful enough to drop from a hardmode boss treasure bag though, especially if obtained in Master Mode. 20 Damage is just like throwing a rock on a planet and expecting something to happen tho (Commented by user:Okokup) (talk) 13:59, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Like most developer set items, Arkhalis purposes are merely visual. Equipping the full set also changes Arkhalis swung projectile effect. However it's unique effect is worthy of a rebalancing to match the developer yoyos (compare to Red's Throw and Valkyrie Yoyo). As of 1.4.0.1 the Starlight could be considered a upgrade to Terragrim and Arkhalis, behaving similarly but possessing higher range, speed and damage, as well able to get Legendary prefix, the only downside not having a hitbox behind the player. 177.99.83.245 00:50, 15 August 2020 (UTC)

Arkhalis blak colour

I think the arkhalis's colour varies depending on the dye you have equipped at the critter shampoo Blakeblaze13 (talk) 04:29, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Difference

What is the difference between this and the Terragrim? Is it only the color? (and the name) 74.197.225.63 02:02, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

They differ in name and color, yes, but also in damage, knockback, rarity, tooltip, and method of obtaining. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 08:10, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

What is better?

Which is better? This or the Terragrim? 74.197.225.63 19:12, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
