There should be mention of Explosives trap in the page, it most dangerous one --79.120.97.161 04:45, 22 December 2011 (UTC)

Already mentioned, check it first --EstebanLB 14:25, 22 December 2011 (UTC)

Has anyone got any knowledge on which ones also damage enemies or if all of them do? --DoubleFloat (talk) 23:23, 27 October 2013 (UTC)

Spike Ball Trap

The spike ball trap seems to have about a 5 second cooldown. You can also stack two of them on top of each other (the spike ball from the top one goes trough the bottom one). The spike balls seem to bounce for about 20 seconds after the trap was activated. Bumbib (talk) 19:08, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

Dart trap obstructions

Can someone confirm the bug that dart traps can generate with blocks obstructing them naturally? It seems likely that it's actually just a sand/silt/slush block falling into its path. -Xolroc (talk) 22:33, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

Explosives Trap

Every explosive trap that I have seen is wired to a detonator. Is the pressure plate explosive trap exclusive to the phone/console versions? 12 Me 21 (talk) 16:35, 3 November 2015 (UTC)

No, they're just incredibly rare, and for obvious reasons difficult to document. I have like 1200 hours logged and I've seen maybe three, at least one of which was post-1.3- and all of which killed me, destroying any evidence that they exist beyond a big crater. Gearzein (talk)
Are you sure it wasn't just a normal trap that generated next to an explosive trap and the wires connected? 12 Me 21 (talk) 23:22, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
Yes, absolutely. It was buried, there was no detonator nearby, and when the wires were checked it was the only trap in the area. Like I said, I've seen the pressure plate variant both before and after 1.3. Gearzein (talk) 01:54, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

History for Mobile version

An editor mentioned in the History section that on Mobile version Mobile version 1.2.11333, traps don't harm critters or monsters. The entry has been deleted, as it was out-of-place. Do they harm critters now? The History section lists changes to sprites, recipes, and stats. It also lists when items were added, and when bugs and glitches were fixed. If somebody knows when the traps on mobile began harming critters, that is something we can add. – Ferretwings (talk) 23:08, 7 June 2017 (UTC)

For iOS, this issue was fixed in version 1.2.11328 (a version below when it was apparently "added"). I don't know the exact version the issue started happening, but I first noticed it happening in iOS 1.2.11212. (and I also don't know what version it was fixed in on other mobile platforms) – KM100 (talk) 05:23, 8 June 2017 (UTC)

New page?

I believe there should be a page listing the different ways traps generate, like once a trap had a detonator and pressure plate linked to one explosive, which would lure the player into thinking that the only way the dynamite would be triggered was the detonator. I fell for that way too easily. Macaro456 (talk) 21:33, 12 June 2020 (UTC)

There's a section here on explosive traps. Why not add that info here? Equazcion (talk) 00:04, 13 Jun 2020 (UTC)

Pressure Plate Track Trap generating conditions

I was wondering if the Pressure Plate Track trap only generates when an Abandoned Mine Track overlaps a regular Dart Trap, where the Pressure Plate is replaced with a track. Do these traps generate separately, or they are only a variant of the Dart Trap? BadPiggy1024 (talk) 16:44, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

Statue Traps

I believe that statue traps can also spawn with medusa statues, I had a world that did that. Does anyone know if there are any other statues that are missed? Yump123 (talk) 04:50, 15 November 2023 (UTC)

From the source code, only the listed statues can appear in statue traps. Any other kind of statues that appears in a "statue trap" is due to it happens to overlap with a wired pressure plate. BadPiggy1024 (talk) 08:49, 15 November 2023 (UTC)

Interesting! Yump123 (talk) 04:18, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
