Per swing
When i was editing this mentioning 3 swords per swing, it seems to be based on speed accessories. While testing, it seems weapon modifier doesn't impact this, but some accessories did. Actual tests and results are as follows: I used solar flare leggings, celestial shell (at night) and mechanical glove, and Legendary and sluggish zenith in Journey mode. 2 swords appear when using all those items. Remove any one of the equipment items, and 3 swords are thrown. The modifier on the weapon had no effect on the number of swords. when testing with unmodified zenith and no accessories or armor equipped, still produced 3 swords. It seems weapon speed modifiers impact use time and throwing rate, but accessories only can impact use time. The weapon constantly throws swords for the duration of its attack, only throwing the non-homing zenith sword at the start of a new attack. --49.195.100.48 10:51, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
I can confirm this is true. A melee speed over +36 % results in two swords released only, however my testing shows that number of hits per second does not change. I've reported this bug. - Rainbowhawk555 (talk) 04:43, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

The Notes section should probably mention that on Journey mode it can be more fiddly due to the fact that characters start with iron gear. If the world spawns with tin, obtaining copper, while possible, can take some time - 124.45.76.97 04:08, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
The projectile melee weapons page should probably mention all the different sword projectiles it fires and not just the Zenith sword
Enchanted Sword Link
The link of the Enchanted Sword in the recipe currently goes to the disambiguation page Enchanted Sword, when it should link to the item page Enchanted Sword (item). This issue seems to reside deep somewhere in Template:Recipes, and I have no idea how to approach this. Zakru (talk) 11:43, 18 May 2020 (UTC).

Notes on Zenith
- It does not seem to have a range limit. My resolution is 1920x1080 and it can still reach enemies - even ones horizontally offscreen at maximum zoomout.
- The swords released still follow your cursor even after you release the button assigned to using it before they return to being sheathed.
- The swords other than Zenith will home onto enemies close to the cursors location, approximately in a sphere with a radius of 23 blocks.

How am I supposed to fix the infobox?

Cave Story/Copper Sword
I was playing a side scrolling game, two years or so back where you started with terrible weapon. But if you held onto it, eventually you could upgrade it into being one of, if not the best in the game.. like the Polar Star in Cave Story
Anyone have any other examples?

Article cleanup
This article has amassed a good deal of mostly-useless factoids and unsourced claims in the Notes and Trivia sections. Considering this is probably one of our most-visited pages, would it be advisable to take a red pen and trim down these sections to the factual and essentials? Extra Swords

- Correction: the Starfury can appear despite not being used to craft it. Also, somebody changed the page to say that you should aim past the enemy to get maximum DPS, but if you aim past the enemy you might not even hit it once. Zenith Damage

Attack Range Screen Resolution
Under the notes section, it mentions the ability to increase the effective range of Zenith by using a high resolution or even multiple monitors to increase the game window size. The behavior is more complex than that. At resolutions up to 1920x1080 in a 16:9 aspect ratio, you do indeed have a larger view of the world as you approach this limit. At resolutions beyond this, Terraria will maintain a fixed view on 16:9 resolutions, instead just making the image larger instead of giving you more view. For wider aspect ratios, Terraria will sacrifice vertical view to maintain the horizontal width. Examples below.

Zenith Max DPS
With testing I've found that under normal circumstances it is possible to get 25k-30k single target DPS and with min/max it can reach from 50k to 70k DPS. I will update the wiki page with this info. For min/max damage I used the following set up on master difficulty at night time during the rain. One accessory rolled as Lucky, the rest rolled as Menacing.
Armor: solar flare helmet, solar flare breast plate, shinobi infiltrators pants.
Accessories: Putrid scent, Avenger emblem, Destroyer emblem, Fire gauntlet, Mechanical Glove, Warrior emblem, Celestial Shell.
Mount: Shrimpy Truffle.
Buffs: Rage Potion, Wrath Potion, Sharpening stand, Exquisitely Stuffed, Feral Bite, 45% Nebula Damage Booster

Blood Butcherer/Light's Bane Appearance

"Arguably" the strongest?
I've noticed the page calls this "arguably" the strongest weapon in the game. I'm curious as to what other weapons people think could beat out the Zenith, when Zenith can do 30,000 DPS without even trying. Knight9910 (talk) 00:07, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Attack range
The page mentions that the zenith can reach wherever the cursor can, but this just isn't true. It can go up to 70 blocks horizontally of the player, and 40 blocks vertically. This is slightly larger than the range of a standard 1080p screen, but it does come in to play at unusually high resolutions, or when you are at the edge of the map.

Attack Speed effects on DPS
Does high melee speed decrease the overall DPS due to less sword being thrown each swing?

Worth it

- If you are aiming at higher DPS, then it's definitely worth the time and work, as few endgame weapon can beat its damage. It also has a better attack pattern than any of its ingredients. BadPiggy1024 (talk) 00:18, 6 May 2021 (UTC)

Zenith survives lava
If you throw your Zenith into lava it does not disappear. But to be honest I don't know if any of the swords you need to craft the Zenith have this ability.

Possible Glitch

- The Zenith does not throw all of its swords at once; otherwise it would be just a bunch of swords in one. The game sends the new swords towards your mouse as it is told to, I wouldn't consider this a bug, but I doubt it is fully intentional, although they probably know about it. --AmsterWikis (talk) 01:02, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
Ruthless could be as good or better than Legendary for DPS
Given that the Zenith doesn't benefit from melee speed and there's no real point to the size or knockback buffs, in some cases I imagine that it could be possible to do more damage with Ruthless than with Legendary. I ran the numbers trying to get the highest possible dps for each, and it seems like with every possible buff and close to 100% crit rate (I used 7 accessories which were mostly lucky, 98/97% crit chance respectively) you can do an average of 1138.5 damage with legendary and 1142.6 with Ruthless. So while they aren't that different I think Ruthless should at least be considered. 98.48.27.2 09:57, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
Table Error
The table showing what swords are in the animation is wrong. I saw the Tizona in the animation. Edit: I don't think I can add a screenshot because I for some reason can't sign in.
