Why do the "Cooked Shrimp", "Cooked Fish", and "Sashimi" links in this article all link to this article? Wouldn't it make sense to not have them links at all?Zyborgmon (talk) 05:41, 12 June 2016 (UTC)

I could tell you, but I can't explain well. Just ask an admin. They explain more better and more clear than me. --IosKent (talk) 05:43, 12 June 2016 (UTC)--
Thanks for pointing that out. I'll fix it. --Ferretwings (talk) 06:08, 12 June 2016 (UTC)

Well fed buff time on mobile and console

Could a mobile and console user please confirm that the buff only lasts 3 minutes from fishing foods?TOTORO01 (talk) 06:20, 24 November 2016 (UTC)

You can see this on the Well Fed page, it is there for quite some time :-). Flisch42 (talk) 07:42, 24 November 2016 (UTC)
Okay, sorry about that... didn't see it.TOTORO01 (talk) 07:44, 24 November 2016 (UTC)
Console and Mobile are running PC version 1.2.4 (and 3DS is 1.2), so anything that's been updated since then, they won't have. Most of the time, you can check the History section. ;) – Ferretwings (talk) 14:51, 24 November 2016 (UTC)

Pointless page?

This page feels kinda of like it is just a strange exclusion from the main 'Food' page. Why specifically food from fishing? Potential candidate for deletion?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Kirby Baker (talk • contribs) at 02:45, January 23, 2023 (UTC)

It is not excluded from the Food page. It is just a subcategory. BadPiggy1024 (talk) 06:34, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
All items in the game should have a dedicated wiki article to document their stats, tooltip, history, etc., and to store their data to the wiki's back-end. Some items are so similar that they are grouped into one article to avoid unnecessary duplication of information (e.g. Timers or Gem Locks, which have little to no functional differences), as is the case with this page – it serves as the base page for the six items. Therefore, its purpose is different from that of pages like Food or Fruits (or Melee weapons, NPCs, Bars, ...), which serve as compilations of items that are only (more or less) loosely related.
As a side note: When this page was created, the Cooked Fish, Cooked Shrimp, and Sashimi were identical apart from their crafting recipes. Over time, this has changed and three more items have been introduced, so it may now be worth considering to split the page into six individual ones.
