In real life, GPS units won't function underground :S

You're right. That is a rather unrealistic element in Terraria. I realized that as the giant flying eyeball was firing lasers at me. Equazcion (talk) 06:48, 10 Nov 2014 (UTC)
its a game. its not going to follow most physics. Michelangelo42 (talk) 15:34, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

"Making a GPS is a waste when you want to sell it, using a Gold watch will make 40 silver profit and Platinum watch 50 silver"

Profit

Did they adjust the sell value of a GPS afterwards? Otherwise I'm confused if this is still, or was ever, applicable. You receive 3 gold for selling it; a depth meter is 20 silver, an unforged compass is 2 gold, and the watch is 20/30 silver. You would get a small profit from combining the items prior to selling.

Seems like it was wrong. I've just removed it -- along with the rest of the notes, as they were pretty unnecessary. Equazcion (talk) 04:46, 13 Nov 2014 (UTC)

Mobile version

Some editors claim that they have the GPS on the Mobile version, but I have yet to get an explanation as to how they got it. After researching the forums, I discovered the GPS was a rare drop at Christmas in 2014. LordofEditing has not been able to get the drop (he says the drops are now the same as on the PC), making it now unobtainable in Mobile. Should we add the "Desktop/Console Only" to the top of the page? Or simply say that it is currently unobtainable on Mobile?
P.S. Silver and Gold Watches were also drops, and the Compass appears to be unobtainable (I don't know if it was ever a drop). – Ferretwings (talk) 12:57, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
